Many 'top film lists of all time' group Godfather 1 and 2 together as one piece, and well... that piece usually takes the honor at the top.

Uncharted 3 reviews are taking the internet by storm today, and they all fall around (at least from what I've read so far) one common theme:

A 'been there, done that' ....it be best sort of way.

The game (and I'm totally happy with this), picks up exactly where the last one left off, and the platforming, shooting, and set pieces offer more of a Uncharted 2.5 feel. And who cares about that really? Uncharted 2 was the bee's knees and I'll take more of it any day! (back off haters).

The best parts (in my mind) which are the incredible environment sensitive set pieces and the awesome buddy buddy story have both been injected in the balls with roids... and I know I'll be left foaming at the mouth

To get tothe point.

The first two Godfather films are set together because how well the stories link and because the films are viewed best side-by-side. In the same way... it sounds like Uncharted2 and 3 might be appreciated best back-to-back, creating a gorgeous linear thrill ride (an epically, if you will).
