I love me some 60fps, but I'm completely fine with 30fps too.

What a tease for next-gen consoles (and 3 year old to current PCs.. sigh)

Games like this running at 60 fps and true 1080p+ with cranked up AA/AF are the future. of consoles.

Looks good. Shame this game will never see a PC release.

More games at 60 probably isn't going to happen.  Better looking trailers, better looking shots on the back of the box and just a better looking game is easier to sell than a game with tight controls.

It's not like games now couldn't be made at 1080res/60frames, they just wouldn't look as good as Uncharted3 or BF3 - so they don't.  When stronger tech comes along and they can make games like Uncharted 3 run at a higher frame rate OR they can make an even better looking game.  You know what road publishers will take.

But stronger tech does exist, it's called a PC. My PC runs Bf3 at 60fps and looks a good number of times better than on console.

@ExplodeMode: But why? What difference does it make? The next gen of consoles will just be like a PC of last year.

@AlexW00d: And when they come out, what will PC games look like?  Stakes keep getting higher and expectations will be too high for games that are just made to run well.

I'll be honest, I prefer 30 fps over 60. Has a more cinematic feel (IE why most movies are at 24 fps).

Then it was just Sony taking video and processing it to add frames, kinda like those 120 HZ TVs, thats how I play my PS3 games, it makes for a smoother experience. But for a game like this that is supposed to be a cinematic experience, so 30 fps is good for it.

@Bobby_The_Great: I can understand that, but with games I prefer the smoothness 60 frames per second provides. Makes it feel more realistic.

I've never liked seeing a movie running at 60fps, as it just seems like you're standing there with the actors and they are acting, rather than them being the characters of the film. It's a strange feeling indeed. This video of Uncharted though I find quite pleasing at the 60fps rate.

Now that I have become part of the PC crowd, it's jarring how choppy 30fps looks to me. I dunno, I can't handle it, which makes Blighttown all the worse.
