Whilst floods rage in Thailand and starvation continues to grip parts of Africa, I too am faced with a dilemma. As the title of the thread suggests, is Uncharted 3 worth upgrading from CFW 3.55 for? I won't be able to enjoy my Starbucks or my LED screen television until this monumental problem is both discussed and solved...

Why do you want custom firmware? What are you using it for? Is whatever you're using it for better then experiencing Uncharted 3? I still don't know why you couldn't play, at the very least, the single-player for Uncharted 3 with a custom firmware. You would likely be out of luck for multiplayer though.

3.55 is an old firmware i believe and it is used for other purposes that makes playing newer games impossible without updating to the current firmware :( I honestly would just to play uncharted 3, but it also depends on what you are using 3.55 for and are you willing to give that up? Personally i would but that is because i can usually play anything on my laptop that is not ps3 and anything ps3.. well i can play it on that :D

Uncharted 3 is way better than Canadian fish waffles. I don't know why you would need to give up one for the other, but why are you eating those in the first place? I haven't had them myself, but I can't imagine Canadian fish waffles being any good. If you like them so much, why not get them from some other country? Or are they a Canada-only import product?

If it has special features that improve your overall PS3 experience you should keep it because you probably won't be able to flash it back.

Eventually CFW will receive the updates you need to play U3 and by that time U3 will still be the same game. It's not like the game will suddenly be terrible if you wait a couple months.

Don't listen to everyone. You're not breaking any laws or anything. You're just losing Sony support. Anyways, there's no need to upgrade. There's already a fix out so you can play your purchased Uncharted 3 on CFW 3.55 & 3.41.

I'd keep the CFW on there if the process of getting it on there is anywhere near as annoying as a PSP.

I could understand CFW on PSP, sure, but I haven't seen a single thing that justifies CFW on PS3 (besides the obvious piracy).
