Bradley Cooper as Nathan Drake. There, I said it.
You just blew my fucking mind.
There, I said it.

Who the hell wants Nathan Fillion... Just freaking get Nolan North himself. Obviously he can act, and he is ya know... Drakes voice and all...
Can you really see this guy carrying a blockbuster action movie?
Yes, yes I can.
@LiquidPrince: The youthful and rugged Nolan North of the 7 year old headshot you brought out could maybe play Nathan Drake. Unfortunately Nolan North has gotten a little grayer, and fatter since then. Besides I find it hard to imagine America embracing a big budget adventure movie staring a goofy looking unknown voice actor.

A little make up can make anyone look like a god in movies. And showing a shot of Nolan North caught in a bad moment doesn't count. Everyone has goofy looking photos. Have you seen some the photos of actors off set. Some look like completely different people. Nolan could easily pull it off. And he's not just a voice actor. He is the actual life and soul of Drake. All the in game cinematic are actually Nolan North in a suit, which capture his movements. Voice + moment = acting.
@LiquidPrince: I see your point and am not doubting Nolan North's ability to pull Drake off, I mean the man is Drake. The only thing I am backing up on is logic. You just can't simply cast a dude that 99% of the population hasn't heard of in a product that will easily cost 150 million dollars to produce, and another 100 million dollars to market. My same argument applies for Nathan Fillion. This role needs star power if it ever has a chance of making money. I mean Prince of Persia has been the most marketable video game movie to date and it barely made it's budget back, and Jake Gyllenhaal isn't exactly an unknown face. While I'm sure you would love to see Nolan North embody Drake on the big screen, he is more suited for the Asylum rip off "The Uncharted- Thieves Ransom" as Nicolas David, which is sure to come out with this movie.
it only serves to help movie bigwigs convince themselves that movie are still the king of storytelling. they need to protect this franchise and do more to promote it
Sort of hope this gets canned now, not that I cared much for it in the first place. Never really bothered in the games that eventually became films category.
Nolan North would be awesome but his age is against him, as he's quite a bit older then what Nathan Drake is. That said, so glad it isn't Mark Wahlberg any more, that would have been awful.
Nah don't think this will get made, don't think this SHOULD get made.
1: Actors that are not drake, elena, sully or anyone we know. Even if they do their best and the roles are cast well, it's simply not them.
2: Budget will have to be SKY HIGH to compete with the game set pieces in any kind of fashion and I don't think that will happen after prince of persia. Does anyone really want to see a low budget direct to dvd movie version when you could play uncharted 3 with pools inside of crates inside of bigger crates on the ocean?!?
3: These specific games are becoming some of the best cinematic games in the industry when it comes down to pure acting, cinematography, choreography etc. Very few real action movies can even compete let alone a video game movie adaptation.
I don't know how I feel about an Uncharted movie, to me it has to be near perfect especially for who is cast as Nathan Drake. I definitely didn't want Mark Wahlberg in the role and the plot for the movie sounded stupid.

Bradley Cooper as Nathan Drake. There, I said it.I was thinking that also, but Nathan Fillion is still my favourite for the role

I'm sorry but as much as I like Nathan Fillion I still believe that Joe Flanigan is one of the best choices for Nathan Drake.
Totally, watch any episode of SG: Atlantis for a few minutes and anyone will quickly realize he's probably the best choice.
I'd watch that.Announcer: "This summer: Michael Cera is Uncharted!"

This news seems... familiar... Can't put my finger on it... Like I've seen it on this site before...
Yup. The game is a 10x better than any movie could hope to be.We don't need a fucking Uncharted movie.

Just really hope Marky Mark doesn't get the role. REALLY not a fan of 99% of his work. I just keep remembering him as Max Payne...
I maintain his best role was in The Departed.

Definitely agree with that.
Actually didn't mind his performance in the fighter either but that's about it.
I'll quickly go off topic and say the Chinese version of the departed (the original predating the western version called Internal Affairs) is awesome if you can stand subtitles.
Infernal Affairs is a trilogy at this point, they wanted to have a sort of Tokyo Godfather thing happening. The prequel wasn't so great, though. That' "Infernal" not "Internal" for anyone googling.@MariachiMacabre said:

I have never really got the "OMG" fandom over Nathan Fillion. Sure the guy seems to be pretty cool and relaxed, but he's not exactly a great actor or has the charm level of a young Ford, DiCaprio or others.

True, it is infernal. Memory isn't as good as i'd like :P. Yeah it's a trilogy, the first is definitely the best of it though imho.

I liked the Uncharted script better when they called him Indiana Jones.
And we all liked IJ movies before Steven Spielberg went senile and lost his nerve.

Nathan Fillion simply doesn't work, because he only has one of those things; the charm. Maybe he gets a half a point for looks, but he sure isn't young or athletic.
They're called stunt doubles dude. And personal trainers to slim/tone him up. It's quite possible
