Uniracers Review
Along with Plok and Donkey Kong Country this game was one of the first I played on a console. Hazy recollections of the gameplay include about six different tricks mapped to the controls, D-Pad moved you left or right, and every so often when a good trick was performed a very SNES era noise would play. Something like "Boodaly-Doo", if i remember correctly.
The game had you racing a single computer, and unrelenting in the later races about tiny mistakes that end up having you bumping up against a wall not realizing you don't have enough speed to make it over. The races included a bowl where you perform as many tricks as possible to earn enough points to pass, straight-away races, and lap races. You were awarded a medal, be it bronze, gold, or silver, at the end of the race. The music was fantastic SNES era MIDI music that resembled synthesizer metal like so many other games of that generation.
Not much else to say about it. It's really simple and fun. Find a ROM of it if you have to.
