I was on just a minute ago, averaging at around a 90 ping, which is fine for UT2K4.

Hope we get a nice variety of players from either side of the pond.

Cool! Now there's just the issue of me not having played a pc multiplayer shooter in the last 6 years...

Just to be clear, the server will not keep running after this week. 
Right now it's on a standard EC2 instance, so I'm paying by the hour. So on Sunday around midnight (UTC) it will shut off. 
 
As for mods, I'm not sure. I set this up to run an as identical server as the one they will be running during TNT so people could practice. 
If they are going to run mods then sure I'll add mods. However, just have to figure out how first.

Map voting is now enabled, so you can change map/mode without an admin online. 
All you have to do is press "x" in game and either double click on a current vote or select a mode/map and then right-click and select "vote for this map".

Played a couple of matches just now and remembered how much I loved this game back then. And how much I hate some of the maps...

@test0r: thanks for setting up the voting stuff, should make it much easier to simply test out maps/modes.

Love a rotaton into invasion every now and then.

@test0r: Not sure mate its a type of game mode similar to horde mode, thats about as useful as I can be. I use to play it a ton and it was great. Just re-installed UT04 and all the invasion servers have stupid confusing rpg modes. Much prefer simple servers. Counter strike syndrome I call it, where servers have too much cluster of crap

Slowly getting better at this game, crazy fun.

There are some mental players on this server. People do not hesitate to bust your ass down.

UT2004 is definitely a different multiplayer experience and not like a lot of games. Makes me wonder why EPIC or some other developer hasn't made another game like this.

Pro tip for new players. Always be moving, dodging, strafing, jumping. ALWAYS.

Just bought it off Steam today, still an absolute blast so will check the server out.

By the way, anyone noticed any audio issues? The audio in my game is super low, turned it up but not much luck.

Nevermind! Fixed it. Was something to do with using the wrong sound hardware. Changed it to use the different option and sound is up to level.

I have had a few game, and I forgot how much I loved this game.

@Dante_the_Jedi: I just remembered why I only played it like thrice, the movement is so exhausting.. I somehow can't focus on double jumping + that leaping around and aiming at the same time. :)

Great. This ought to give me a good reason to reinstall my copy though I still prefer the maps in the original UT. I reinstall later tonight and hopefully some of us will be able to play on TNT.
