May be old-school, but manages to feel fresh. 0

If you've played UT2K4 on the PC or Unreal Championship from the original Xbox then you probably have a good idea on what you'll be getting into. The game is still structured as an arena Deathmatch-CTF battleground where you'll be spending a lot of your time fragging, and doing an equal amount of time blowing up. Unreal Tournament probably shouldn't feel as new and exciting as it does. When you think about it, UT 3 does very little change in the Unreal universe. The game is relatively the same a...

Logical, samey, and fun, but play it on the PC over consoles 0

Since 1999 Unreal Tournament has influenced the first-person shooter market with its twitch and adrenaline fueled gameplay. Each follow-up has spawned significant changes without actually overhauling the system gamers have become associated with over the years; Unreal Tournament 3 is no exception.  Lets drive toward the walking laser octopus.  Fast, furious, and full of gratuitous gore Unreal demonstrates its power best when there are numerous bodies present, preferably human-controlled. But ...

Epic's shooter makes its way to the 360, but is it worth it? 0

Unreal Tournament III was originally released in the fall of last year for the PC and PS3. Now, UT3 graces the Xbox 360 with its fast and furious gameplay, but is it worth shelling out $60 dollars for? UT3 for Xbox 360 comes with all the downloadable content available for the PS3 and PC versions of the game along with 2 new characters, 5 exclusive maps, split-screen multiplayer and Online Co-Op via Xbox Live. UT3 offers multiple modes and options to choose from when you first boot up the game. ...

UT3 may be old-school, but it feels fresh, new, and exciting 1

Previously known as Unreal Tournament 2007, Unreal Tournament 3 has been available on both the Playstation 3 and PC for several months now, and after a long delay due to timed exclusivity for the PS3 version, 360 owners finally get to delve into this generations old school tournament style twitch shooter. If you've played UT2K4 on the PC or Unreal Championship from the original Xbox then you probably have a good idea on what you'll be getting into. The game is still structured as an arena Deathm...

    Classic Tournament Gaming with a Face-lift 0

Nothing brings back good memories such as sniping on a CTF map, hidden in a tower, and after hearing head shot several times, hearing the announcer scream "HOLY S*%$!". Unreal Tournament is a well known franchise so there's little introduction to what you need to know about this game. If you've unfamiliar though, all you really need to know is shoot the other colored team. Shoot them good!UT3 feels really familiar since it is essentially the same exact game as all of the other Unreal Tournament...

Epic is back with a great shooter 0

I would like to start off by saying that I really respect Epic Games when it comes to producing value for money games for all of us. They are amongst a small group of developers that really put their heart and soul into everything they release and it shows with Unreal Tournament 3.UT3 is all about action packed, fast combat with jaw dropping visuals and killer sound to boot. The visuals in UT3 are fantastic and the game runs at a blistering framerate with no slowdown to be found even in the heav...

    "HEAD SHOT!" 0

Its sad to see Unreal Tournament 3 getting little attention on Xbox 360. Developers Epic even ironically stamped "From the studio that brought you Gears Of War" as a last ditch effort for their once highly acclaimed online FPS series to sell as it disappears into obscurity. Which is a darn shame because this is pretty much going to be the only time console gamers will ever experience Unreal Tournament for what it's famous for, online play. But to bring people up to speed, Unreal Tourname...

Bargain Bin Review: Unreal Tournament 3. 0

Most people go through bargain bins because every so often you find a gem like UT3, and you quickly grab it before anyone else and wonder why it would be in such a place. Then you remember back when it was released it simply came and went without so much as a whimper.    The game sticks to the basics and does what it knows best: Frantic, solid online play. UT3 services in this department. If you played a Unreal Tournament before, this will feel pretty much the same. What is new is the abilit...

fast paces action packed yet its still missing something 0

i just bought this game a couple of days ago. it is a very good game to not say the least, great strong multi player that can keep you hooked for hours and hours. the graphics are stellar very good a little graphic glitch here and there but over all very impressive graphics.the only great problem that we can find in this game is that its lacking a strong single player  campaign. it has one but the only problem is that it is just a buch of bot matches such as team deathmatch and warefare with a l...

    Unreal Tournament 3 Review 0

The newest game in the Unreal Tournament series is one of the best competive shooters on the 360. The game is extremley fast paced and the graphics are amazing. As of now the community is pretty small but it is still easy to find a match in multiplayer.Single PlayerThe single player in this game has a good story but it is pretty much practice for multiplayer. The cutscenes are amazing but it gets kind of long after a while. All of the charecters other then Reaper dont really have a personality s...

Is Unreal Tournament 3 for 360 worth the sacrafices? 0

Unreal Tournament 3 in a few ways a downgrade compared to the Ps3 and PC versions of it. But to answer the title yes if you dont mind giving up mods. Graphics the graphics are simply the cutting edge of the 360 makeing the game look good at 60 fps. Most of the character models look amazing and the guns are simply breath-takeing. Mind you tho there is not exactly a whole new barrel of guns there is justa bunch of guns from the older games. The single player is not the actual tournament from the o...

    Unreal Tournament III Review 0

Good: Fun multiplayer, supports guest online, coop.Bad: single player lacks an actual single player objective.---------------------------------------------------------------Unreal Tournament III is the third installment in the Unreal franchise. It is now just hit the xbox 360. It lacks mod support. And lacks a real story mode.I wont get into the story of the game. The story mode is set up in series of matches like mulitplayer, so Deathmatch, capture the flag, and all that stuff. It can get repet...

    Unstoppable..... 0

Unreal Tournament III has been around for a while on other platforms (PC and PS3), but it finally makes its appearance on the Xbox 360 with some new content along with the same fast and intense FPS action that the series has provided. As an "old-school" first-person shooter that separates itself from the current crop of shooters that have more depth, UT3 is more of a relief of bringing back the glory days of late 90s shooters (The Doom, Quake, first UT days) into the new generation of consoles. ...

    An Old School FPS 0

was thinking about this game for a very very long time, being remarkably new to the series i was intriuged when seeing the PS3 version in action, seeing the graphics as well as foreign vehical gameplay caught my eye.Coming into the series (as well as being the only one standing infront of a midnight blockbuster to get this game, having no other mightnight launches of course...), I felt a bit uneven...saying to myself..."is anyone even going to buy this game other then me? or even rent it?" that...

    Overlooked and Underrated. 0

Unreal tournament games, in the past, have been wildly popular games, especially when looking at games such as Unreal Tournament 2004. These games have been referred to as "twitch shooters" as they are very fast paced, and the name 'Unreal' really does fit the theme of the game. The game is based on frantic, over-the-top game play that seemed to be enough to satisfy players in the old days, but just does not seem to satisfy the 'modern warfare' hungry players today. The weapons, like the sl...

Your Kung Fu is Unreal 0

The quick twitch gameplay of Unreal is rarely seen now. Some people may view it as an "old school" style of FPS gameplay, when in fact it is a completely different style and it deserves your respect. You tell me that a FPS based on hand-eye coordination and quick reflexes can't compete and I will ask you to find a professional sport that doesn't require both. It is the kind of thing that makes a Video Game a serious spectator activity. The first thing that comes to my mind when I load up UT3 is "...

    Low grav – instagib – double speed – ctf – plzkthx. 0

Being a refugee from the PC world is a difficult thing, but for mostly financial reasons I have forsaken the wild, wild west of mods, over clocking and buying more ram for the stable and easy world of consoles. While it is nice to not have to buy a new video card every year there is one specific item that I have missed more then anything else: mouse and keyboard controls. There can be little argument about 'if' mouse and keyboard are superior to a controller for shooters, the only argument is 'h...

On the edge of greatness, but something just doesn't feel right. 0

First off, I want to start by saying, that I did have a hard time giving this game a score below a 9 rating. I think it easily has the potential to become a great game of substance and depth, yet, feels a tad bit lacking in content right at the moment. But to no surprise, UT2K4 was not the giant of content at its release, however it was a little easier to get away with 4 years ago. The graphics are really nice, and detailed.. the framerate is very smooth, which is a huge plus knowing Epic took i...

    ut HITS THE CONSOLES!!! 1

To be honest, Unreal Tournament 3 is a big letdown for any die hard Unreal Tournament fan. While the content is stripped down from Unreal Tournament 2004. With no real additions added to the game which calls it self  " a true sequel" you're left realing from how everything is structured. Regardless UT3 is still a great game. There's now a single player mode, with an okay story some twists which aren't presented as well as Gears of War but nethertheless it's okay. However at the end of the day it...

    UTIII Is Epic 0

Welcome to the The world of Unreal Tournament 3. The game has amazing graphics but it's running off of the Unreal Engine, meaning that when you load a level the textures take a few seconds for it to pop in. More or less rips off Gears of Wars, even the main character in "story" mode looks like the Marcus phoenix from gears. One thing about this game that you need to know is how fast the gameplay is, even on the PS3 the game play is extremely fast, if it isn't as fast as you like then you can jus...

    EPIC FAIL'd! 0

With this one, Epic most certainly did fail us. Really, the only thing they can claim to have improved is the graphics. The Gameplay still retains some of the fun from it's predecessors, and this is really the only reason I don't give it 1 star. It's still a fast paced, action packed experience, and you still just run around killing everyone, with the exception of a returning gametype from UT'04 (albeit modified for the worse).Core gameplay aside, it seems Epic has sold out. Every game since UC2 ...

Hello unreal how are you? Good? you look good and sound good to for that matter. But people say your not aging well. I think you look fine for how thin you've been spreading yourself. Ok a little bit more on topic now unreal is just that. unreal. If i could have 1 thing in my life that would be the announcer of the UT games to follow me around narrating my life. I digress.   Unreal tournie is a fantastic shooter. Deffinatly underated. The game provides hours of fun explosions, veichles,weapons,a...

Unreal Tounrament 3 is still Unrealzzzly good 0

So I've been playing UT games for years now, so naturally I'm a fan.  But I was especially excited for this iteration of the series because it was Unreal Engine 3 and I knew the game was going to look fantastic...but did it play well? In my eyes absolutely.  UT3 is an incredible game.  I find that the older gamer crowd seems to enjoy it more, as today the ol skool run and gun rocket launcher gameplay style has somewhat fallen off :(  Which is incredibly sad and frustrating.  But chaps in their m...
