    Here's the better question, though:  how can a dood with a DOCTORATE IN LITERATURE still write shitty stories and make shitty movies?

    Alright, I'll give the rough explanation:
    $5 million budget
    German tax shelter = $2.5 million back in his pockets
    Production in Prague = cheap
    Movie gets released to, let's be optimistic, $4 million opening weekend

    Since the production technically only cost him $2.5 million to put on, he made a $1.5 million profit on the flick in the opening weekend.  Now, with that $1.5 million, he can pay a couple of actors.  After that, DVD sales for Boll (for some ungodly reason) are huge in America.

    Basically, because of these tax shelters, he rapes the system and makes a shitload of money!

    I'm actually fairly excited for 'Rampage'. 
    As far as I see it he has a chance to redeem himself, forgetting the movies themselves I actually like the guy, it's my hope that he somehow does succeed in making a good game movie someday, I just hope we arn't buried in more crap in the mean time.
