Overview

With development beginning as early as 1988, Vacation Gone Awry was originally called "Stranded" and was slated for release on the Commodore 64. It went through several iterations on various platforms (including the PC and Amiga), but was finally released in 2006 for Windows PCs.

The game is a text-based adventure about a man on vacation in the Black Forest of Germany with his family. Waking up one morning to find his wife and daughter gone, the man must discover what happened to them.

Release

Vacation Gone Awry is available as a download for Windows PCs, but can also be played in a Java-enabled web browser. Both versions are free and can be obtained from the game's website.
