Verderinde

Overview

Verderinde is a boss character and antagonist in Knights Contract. One hundred years before the events of the game, Verderinde was the leader of a group of witches who had dedicated themselves to helping and protecting humanity. Following the outbreak of plague amongst the human population, Verderinde and her witches were accused of its spread and were subsequently hunted and executed.  
 
At the beginning of the game, Verderinde and her witches have now been resurrected by Dr. Faust; the very man responsible for the executions one hundred years ago. Verderinde and her witches now all seek revenge on humanity, all except Gretchen, and have allied themselves with Dr. Faust in the process.
