    Overview

Victor Musical Industries was a large Japanese media content producer and distributor that started developing games in the mid-80s. In 1993 the company merged with Nihon AVC to form Victor Entertainment. Its full current name is the JVC Kenwood Victor Entertainment Corporation.

Before 1996, Victor's video game division simply shared the name of the company: between 1986-1993 games were credited as a product of Victor Musical Industries. Between 1993-1996 it was Victor Entertainment and in October of 1996 Victor Entertainment's game division merged with Pack-In-Video to become Victor Interactive Software Inc.

Victor Interactive Software would eventually become Marvelous Interactive in 2003 after another merger.

The Victor Entertainment name is still utilized in some products currently, however.
