If I get all Magic Eye picture on it, it mostly works. Might need less parallax.

Am I the only one surprised by how many people commenting here seem to have red/blue glasses lying around? I wish I did but... they usually find their way into the garbage... or something...

I used my red green glasses and got something between a headache and 3D.
Need to get some red blues...

This doesn't work. The colors appear to be reversed.

I think the "split" between the two "layers" is too wide. Perhaps you guys could move them closer together.

@MagikGimp: It wouldn't work because screens like that need to be polarized. The only way that 3d is able to be integrated into the site that works for the most people is the way its being done with this video which is red/blue anaglyph

Can you make it the kind of 3D that uses the Theater glasses?  I have those.  No idea where to find red/blue glasses.

I tried it with two different pairs of glasses that I have. It seems that the red channel is a little off to the right. Especially the candy canes and the rails. The only thing that really "popped" out were the little bubble/sparkles and the HUD, which were not 3D.

Works poorly. There's too much parallax (the depth slider is set too high) and there's way too much crosstalk. If you're going to use colors you need to use optimized anaglyph or Dubois method.

I think if you set the 3D slider way low when capturing, it might help.

Giantbomb should hook up all paid subscribers with free 3D glasses.  This is obviously a thing, right?

Thanks for the tip. In case this sort of thing gets proven and shows up again, I definitely want to be able to see it. (and I had no idea where to even start looking for red/blue glasses)

Red and blue are too far apart. If you want to do 3D, use the one they use in cinemas, I have some RealD glasses.

I don't have any 3D glasses on hand, so this video just looks like some crazy drug-induced vision.

Wow, I actually got a bit queasy from that (Could've been the chili dogs I just ate though).

It seemed like it kept being on the verge of working (I used the same Trioviz glasses that did some surprisingly good 3D stuff with Batman: Arkham Asylum and Enslaved: Odyssey To The West), but the videos were too far apart. They kept converging and didn't really give off a 3D image until the monkey was about to hit a banana for example. The UI popped.

A little calibration and you guys might actually pull this crazy scheme off

There's a difference between the 3DS screen and your computer screen.

It depends on how strong the color is in the glasses you use. I just borrowed my friend's pair; he has a plastic pair with very vibrant red and blue lenses, and it looks pretty good! If you focus on the ball rather than the background it looks best. Still some ghosting, but that's how it is with almost all red/blue 3D. Cool stuff. :)

They can do that... if you don't mind buying a new expensive polarized 3d monitor. Those glasses don't work on normal monitors. They could do side by side the way youtube does though and let people decide for themselves.

No, that means you whole monitor screen needs to be polarised, then have the video projected onto it then you can watch it with your glasses.

@Forum_User: Lol, good thinking. But it actually worked somewhat.
The problem seems to be my calibration of the screen. Each eye color doesn't cut out the image from the other eye good enough. Might be because of color calibration.

It kinda worked, though my right eye liked to become dominant after a while (Making me have to actively get my left eye to focus) and, yeah, the colours where too wide apart.

First viewing it looked sorta 3d (the falling stars in front of the screen mostly) but watching really gave me a headache. However once my eyes/brain adjusted to what was going on both images came together and looked ok.

The Trioviz glasses are not red/blue anaglyph and should not work with this video in any way.

I got a ton of those 3 D glasses if you've bought a big release blu ray in the last 4 months (Coraline , monster vs Aliens and Jackass 3D ) you got a pair or 12 , gotta say it worked kinda.

Doesn't work very well for me, although you can tell just by looking at the image the effect was too exaggerated. Subtle shifts are usually much more effective

It worked better the further I got from my screen. But up close it results in excruciating pain.
