The opening of this trailer had me laughing my ass off. I'd like to imagine that they got so lost singing along with Bonnie Tyler in "Total Eclipse of the Heart" (The manliest of songs btw) that the driver lost control of the vehicle and plummeted off a bridge into the river.

This looks great. At least way better than anything that was in the BF3 campaign. Hope next gen consoles can get graphics sort of on par with this. I know it wont be this good but still looking forward to this game.

Very pretty but they're clearly prioritising spectacle and making a bombastic roller roaster ride than a open military shooter is what used to define the series. And why did the chopper pilot make them go all the way to the roof of a crumbling building far away after they'd cleared the area? Also the window was undone when they crashed the car.

Almost unwatchable for me, the giant bomb player always goes to horrible quality after a while.

I like how Battlefield tries to be COD in this trailer.

I was gonna watch this and then i asked myself why and didn't. I'll buy it and probably have a shit load of fun in multiplayer. The campaign in BF3 just pissed me off.

This demo is either played with a mouse and an intense want to make it look smooth and cinematic, or it's on controller, which I guess one could speculate might mean next gen consoles.

I still don't get why EA thinks Battlefield needs a tacked-on singleplayer to move copies. BF2 sold millions of copies, and that didn't have anything other than a tutorial if I remember correctly. And it's not like people who don't know what Battlefield is, would buy this because it looks like Call of Duty, those people buy COD, FIFA and/or Madden and nothing else... So why not just show the multiplayer - the part people want to see - if you're going to give people the first look at the latest game in one of your biggest IP, especially when you're giving people a 17 minute long look at the game?

I mean, that SP-campaign can't be cheap to produce and it's just going to sink the games score on metacritic, because of course that part of the game's gonna be lackluster... Because no one gives a fuck about it!

EDIT: On a more positive note, the game itself looks great, I really just don't care about this part of the game, and to be frank, I don't think anyone does

@meatsim: That's what I was thinking the whole time. Also, why can't your buddy shoot down the helicopter so that you can focus on driving and not crash into the Caspian Sea. Graphically it looks great but the story and gameplay are nothing new. :/

Don't get any age-gate, but the video wont playback at all, clicking like a mad guy on that big red play button, changing from progressive, streaming to HTML 5 same story, video wont play, guess it's a thing with the age gate.

Overall this just made me irritated as there's no way to tell how much of the pretty smoke and explosions and stuff will make it into the multiplayer

Looks a hell of a lot like Battlefield 3. Also, more single player campaign? Really? I got Battlefield 3 the first day it came out and I've NEVER played the single player to this day. There are a lot of games that have great single player campaigns and then for whatever reason feel the need to make a multiplayer that no one plays because they felt obligated to do so. Dead Space 2 comes to mind, and I never played the multiplayer for that either. It's not why I came to Dead Space. Battlefield is the other way around. I'm probably not going to play the single player, it's not what I come to Battlefield for and I'm sure there are a lot of people like me who's been around since Battlefield 1942, so why make it in the first place?

@tourgen: Im pretty sure no one remembers, or even gives a crap about what happened in BF3 sp. All I can remember is that a rat kept getting me killed, and having to shoot at a car trying to escape. All I can remember are things that I HATED about the sp, even after playing through the whole thing to completion, I certainly don't remember anyones names or anything like that.

I didn't see anybody get in a helicopter and crash it three feet from take off, as such I refuse to believe this is Battlefield.
