I figured this game was coming months later, but the PC version drops on September 25.

This looks pretty cool. Glad to see other things than shooters and jump-scare games from time to time.

This seems cool, like someone mixed LA Noire with Sixth Sense and True Detective.

Looks like my kind of game, i was initially put off by the ghost stuff but it looks well implemented into the mechanics and reminds me less of 'Murdered'

Man, I knew the graphics were going to be special after reading about their use of photogrammetry but that was gorgeous.

Good to see the gameplay was similarly interesting. I was thinking it would be nice to have a hardcore mode where you don't have the floating text hints but it looks like it's tied into the crime scene recreation mechanic so all good.

Blummin' intrigued by the 'after death' memory bit they hinted at too.

This looks great. I'm a huge fan of weird fiction and video games both, so I pretty much have to get it. Anything else would be madness.

For some reason I thought it was coming out later for the PC, but I guess I was mistaken.

The game itself is interesting. All those spoilers though! (LOL)

Seems like a really interesting game world and mechanic wasted on another story that is so fucking deep up its own ass that it's suffocating like 90% of the "amazing story telling in video games today".

Seriously? Paranormal bullshit? Can't I just be investigating a vanished child where the answer is a cult or kidnapper or serial killer estranged family or something? Do I really have to investigate ghosts/demons/aliens/zombies/monsters with my second-site/pre-cognition/ability-to-talk-to-the-dead?

Does every game really have to boil down to military shooter or "ooh, spooky spookies and your magical powers to hunt them!"?

Don't get me wrong - I'm okay with some stories being Murdered: Soul suspect, where the police work with a psychic to solve crimes (something that has, despite bullshit from psychics claiming otherwise, never actually successfully happened) and you're a ghost. But does EVERY game have to be that? We can't do a True Detective thing? Or Clint Eastwood's A Perfect World or The Fall or The Killing? We've gotta do some half-assed SyFy paranormal crap to facilitate goofy mechanics that we somehow can't engineer to work right with a game set in the real world?

I agree with this (although a kidnapper or serial killer wouldn't be any less cliché to be honest). The supernatural stuff looks contrived and gamey as hell, and I feel takes away from the realism of their world.

Wouldn't it be more interesting and engaging to have to recreate these scenes in your head? Is it that hard to interpret severed limbs and a blood trail next to train tracks? I'm sure it gets more complicated, and maybe they use the ghost stuff in more interesting ways in the full game, but that video didn't exactly sell me on it.

Like said in the description, pc-version is only about a month away. The PS4 version comes sometime next year.

Looks damned pretty visually, the environment really looks like something I'd want to explore.

While I agree that the gritty, very real detective theme is very in right now, and I would like to see it more in games, I think its a little shitty to assume that the only reason they went with a supernatural element was to support their core mechanic.

It looks interesting but I think the slow pace can also work against the game. For example when you have to recreate the victims last memories in chronological order; If you visualize it in the wrong order do you have to rewatch the first memory every single time you visualize it and then memory number 2, 3 and 4 etc. until you get the order right? I could see that getting old pretty quickly. Of course you should be able to avoid that if you study the memories thoroughly, but this doesn't seem like the kind of game that let's you skip things you have already seen.

You can only play this game in one pace I assume and that's the game's pace. Depending on how long the game is that could probably end up testing my patience quite a bit. It looks interesting and atmospheric but it might not be my kind of game.

Oh wow, that's really soon. I'll be interested to see more of it for sure.

I'm all for these ECIII puns too, while we're at it. Hopefully the big reveal is that this game ends up being a P.T.-style secret promotion for TNA.

That premonition mechanic seems like an interesting way to work around the obtuseness of many 3D adventure games.

Well maybe they can make a game like Murdered but good? Cause Murdered was an absolute shitshow with a dumb story, underdeveloped and boring characters, atrocious stealth sections and puzzles that don't even deserve to be called that. The idea was the only interesting thing about it so I'll give this a chance. I'm still sceptical but this little snippet looks already better than Soul Suspect.

Others have mentioned Murdered: Soul Suspect but as someone who finished that game, this looks a lot like what Murdered was trying to be and utterly failed to be. I'm intrigued to be sure.
