That was pretty intense. 2033 was one of the best FPS I've played in a long time. It just felt very fresh and was an enjoyable departure from all the modern military roller-coasters I'd played recently. The game sucked me in and I was pretty much glued to the screen while playing it. Can't wait for the sequel.

I still need to play 2033 first.

EDIT - just saw Steam day sale is Metro 2033 for 5 bucks.. Guess I'll be able to play it sooner then I thought.

Damn that was a good trailer, 2033 was awesome hopefully they have done the same for this and as mentioned lets hope THQ is still around come 2013 for the release i would hate to see this go the way of Stalker 2.

It won't. This is almost done and it literally is going to be on EVERY home-platform (from PC to Wii U) and THQ is betting big on the Wii U launch wagon to sell games to even more people than before (also, first time PS3 release for the Metro franchise).

You can safely look forward to playing this in 2013. I just finished Metro 2033 a few weeks ago and loved (almost) every second of it (goddamn amoebas!)!

Dude at the start says : "Go down to the Metro".

Then the lady says :"Take my baby".

Military guy says:"Close the doors".

I don't think any of this really needed subtitles.

Awesome trailer, The first Metro was the only AAA game i ever played with none English voice acting so definitely excited for this at least for that reason.

For those curious... the headphones say:

"Rockets have been launched.. this is the end... rockets have been launched" in Russian :)

The lady is singing a well known by every Russian lulaby

The guy running down the stairs tells her "Come down to the Metro" and then same thing to people on the street.

The guy with a book is yelling about god something along the lines of "And so the God said..." then he yells "Armageddon"

The guy with a pistol in the crowd yellws "Go F yourself"

Then the guard yells "STOP"

Then mother with a kid says "I have a kid, Im begging you.."

After gunshot she says "At least take the child"...

The guard takes him and says "Close the doors"

The mother yells through the crack "BABY...."

20 years later... as he exits the Metro, that same lulaby is played in the background...

I was super excited to see this game wasn't dead considering the last time we saw/heard anything about it was last E3. Come on THQ, give them the time and money they need to fix the flaws of Metro 2033 and make an even greater game.

Cannot fucking wait! That was amazing! I hope they are still focused on making the PC game the best looking game out there. With the first one, they sure tried to push the boundaries of DirectX 11.

Just checked on Steam if you don't have 2033 now is a good time they have it on sale for 75% off so those in the UK like me it's at £3.75 a hell of a bargin for a great game.

Man. How utterly, utterly depressingly Russian.

...Which is all I want out of Metro. Can't wait!

@Animasta: can't say for sure but it could well be it seems to fit as he was alive before it all went to hell and 20 years later is 2033 so yeah could well be him.

Metro 2033 has good ideas but terrible execution. I hope they improved on the game and stealth is no longer broken, since they forced it on you in several places.

I usually couldn't care less about live action trailers, but that was pretty damn cool. Anyway, Metro 2033 was great, so I'm really looking forward to this one.

That was a very well made trailer and I enjoyed it.

Are people seriously having trouble following this without subtitles. Most of it is pretty self explanatory and artistically, it gives it a great tone not knowing exactly what they are saying.

That's STALKER, silly. Most of Metro 2033 takes place in Metro tunnels.
