Well this looks super weird. I'll keep an eye on it though, Ron Gilbert's not a name you just ignore.

You can, but then Ron Gilbert comes around to your house asking why you ignore him and it gets SUPER awkward.

I laughed way too hard when he said he was a talking cave

Add it to the Wilhelm scream page.

Hope the writing ingame is better than the trailer's humor.

This smacks of Maniac Mansion.

Looks promising!

This sounded pretty cool, indeed.

Wasn't this the kickstarter game? And they still needed Sega to pitch in? How much money do you need? I better not here a Sega analyst come out and say "It didn't meet expectations." Considering $3 million of the development was paid for. Or maybe they are just getting paid to distribute the game. Who knows...

no this isnt the Kickstarter game, this is the Ron Gilbert joint that was announced around the same time. The Kickstarter game is a point and click adventure, which this clearly is not

Sentient talking caves are what's really going to overthrow humanity not sentient robots.

So soon, can't wait! I'm a sucker for anything from the old LucasArts guys.

The best part of Maniac Mansion was how the puzzles were solved differently depending on which characters you chose. And as great as the sequel was, that was the one mechanic they took out that I really missed. I'm really glad Ron Gilbert is revisiting the idea.

Nice! Double Fine for the win! Speaking of which, where's the Happy Action sequel? I remember they said they were shooting for the end of the year, and it's December but I haven't heard anything else.

It seems kind of like Fantasy Island, but with a sentient cave.

Is there any chance that I won't buy this? No, I don't think that there is.

I love Ron Gilbert and Tim Schafer so goddamn much.

This game looks pretty damn cool and I love the multiple character style a la Maniac Mansion.

What happened to their Kickstarter effort?

Or is this it?

Wasn't there one with a robot knight unveiled not long ago?

Full disclosure: I haven't even clicked play on that video yet.

This is Ron Gilberts game, has nothing to do with the kickstarter. That is still on the way, seems like they are in actual production now for a while (according to the documentary)

I am excite

Huh. Before this trailer, I had just about no interest in this game, which is weird considering I love Double-Fine and everyone involved with this project. I think the darker side of this trailer made it more interesting.

Take a little tiny bit of time to get informed, and *you* will know.
