as pervy as this franchise is, DOA has some damn satisfying fighting.

They still look anime-ish that isn't gonna change but at least they look like "more mature" in that sense (smaller eyes, bigger lips) , just look at any image of Kasumi in other DOA game she just looks like a baby with a woman body.

I do enjoy watching a well played Akira.

Dude the characters look so awesome!, too bad this franchise has such a bad rep that most people won't get over it when looking at this game that's trying to get away from that, hell the ladies have less jiggle now.

I do love the VF series so very much!! What a random but epic idea!!

Though at heart, I always hoped we'd get a Tekken X Virtua Fighter crossover at some point, this is equally awesome to be honest.

The new DOA graphics look great, love the new chara design, more realistic and all.

The new engine does look a bit more VF than DOA-ysh, from the square arenas to the gameplay, more focused and counter balanced.

But now I can't wait to instead have an all new VF on consoles!!

It's so popular hating on this game without thinking first... It's all boobs, hurr! Especially the (over) half the roster that's men! Now lemme tell you about a fighting game that doesn't stoop to using T&A! um... err... ah... Urban Champion! Yeah, there's a pure fighting game!

Anyway, looks like DoA 2 moves mostly - pretty good sign, though they could have maybe updated the animation just a bit. I just hope that "easy" difficulty is like the hardest setting from DoA Dimensions because that game looked and felt right, but was a total joke to beat. Even boss characters were pitiful. DoA does not need to be any easier!

Fun fact: If Kasumi aged in real-world time since DoA came out, she'd be 33 now!

Eugh DOA... but hooray Virtua Fighter. I feel so conflicted.

This sure does make me want a Virtua Fighter 6.

Guess I'll have to settle for that downloadable re-rerelease of VF5.

I have to say that I'm a fan of the less-terrible character models.

It's nice to see the girls of DOA beating the living shit out of each other again, and not prancing around in some pervert simulator. These games have the best fighting engine, and animations, in the industry.

A DOA versus Virtua Fighter would probably be a much more exciting move for BOTH franchises, though. That's all I was thinking about here. DOA has a long road ahead of it to build it back up to something respectable, and VF has been missing in action for quite some time. Look at how much excitement popped up around Street Fighter X Tekken. Tecmo Koei and Sega should take a page from that book...

Damn, those character models look great. Graphically I mean. Never played a DoA game before but they look neat. Virtua Fighter however, I couldn't care less about; it seems like the most boring fighting game ever.

World's most boring fighting franchise continues to be dull.

With Ninja Theory behind this I'm not sure if it's going to slowly turn more into Soul Calibur style of characters or go down the same polarizing love or hate path as the last Wii Metroid game they did. I think that between the SFXTekken & other fighting games that came out recently that most people won't care too much for the next DoA fighting game, esp. after dragging the franchise down with the volleyball games girl stalker/voyeur games.

Kasumi looks great!!! She looks like she matured a bit....wonder how the rest of the cast will look......oooh I are excitors!!!

Ok... my mood went from "why the hell are they doing this" to "holy shit that was awesome" in about 2 minutes time.

Also, are those supers, or finishers, or do they add in the slow mo for finishing shots, kind of like how you could earn three-peats if you managed to knock an enemy out with a devastating blow in DOA 4. Either way, I'm on board.

Akira's not too out of place considering that Dead or Alive was largely inspired by Virtua Fighter. What do you bet that they've made his moves much easier to execute though? DoA's a pretty mashy game, VF not so much.

I thought Dead or Alive games were fun, but I've always felt that Virtua Fighter and Tekken seemed more similar to one another. I'd like to see Akira Yuki fight Jin Kazama.

I always liked DOA's fighting system and am definitely interested to see more of this game. Sure, all the boob physics and panty shots are still as dumb as they were back in the 90s but I always have a blast playing these games.
