Exactly. The trailer might as well start with "From the studio that brought you Duke Nukem Forever... comes another warmed over corpse of a game".

Am I wrong about this? I'd really like to be wrong, but the in-game video looks awful.

I think this trailer needs a big disclaimer before it saying that it wasn't written by Mikey Neumann, who's written the rest of the game...because, DAMN that was bad writing.

Honestly, that's all I need. It looks like an Aliens game in the same vein as the Left 4 Dead series, which should be fun. If I want an engaging story with characters I want to care about, the last place I'll look is a video game, instead I'll watch the movie. Nothing wrong with generic as long as you're having a good time. If this game provides that, I'll be happy.

Hope the final product is better than that trailer because that was some awfully pandering shit.

This is one of the worst trailers I have ever seen.

Hoo-ee, that sure was a really bad trailer, and the game looks like boring shit too.

I am in the minority, but I hope that man is in the final game. Not that it will make it any better, but it will give me a reason to keep playing this mediocre looking game

I actually cringed watching this.

I've wanted a good Aliens game ever since I saw the movies as a kid but I fear this is not going to be it. It needs to have atmosphere and make you feel scared and powerless but it looks like it is just going to be a average shooter with really obvious callbacks to the movie. I hope i'm wrong.

I wonder if this is from before it all goes to shit. I know from another chunk of gameplay they are pushed back by the aliens and your guy is running around as his team is slaughtered.  
 
It could be like the movies how they where all baddassed up untill the real alien fighting began. 

Been watching other trailers. The STORY trailer is a much better one. I think this one is just trying to push the more over the top badass marines part of it. 

Shame, but this trailer is a massive turn-off for me. But then again, I just wanna be Ripley.
