Okay a quick 2 minute breakdown now it's all being made clear. Wait, 40 minutes?

Posted by L1GHTN1N

Still not sure how to feel about this stuff. I play mostly PC games so I'm used to a lot of this stuff and don't trade games/sell games often, but something about it still feels wrong. Also every 24 hours seems way too short of a time...

Posted by RudeCubes

Increasingly glad i'm sticking with Wii U/PC.

Edited by csl316

40 minutes? I expected like 5 but sure, why not!

Edited by Stimpack

I just don't know, man. Wait and see is the answer, but my hopes are not high. Either way, though, I'm more interested in what Sony does.

Looks like I got a meaty video to watch when I wake up.

Edited by BeachThunder

Is this TNT?

Posted by willbot

Well that cleared things up!

Foot, meet bullet.

I cannot WAIT for this video to finish downloading.

I hope for hilarity - and maybe Vinny.

Posted by billyhoush

I wonder how long it will take for all this stuff to get hacked.

Microsoft's getting a really hard time over this, not a big deal to me personally... prob. because I'm not going to get the system. Would be very shocked if E3 changed my mind.

I tried to follow this video but I haven't been to law school.

Droppin' that Crossbone knowledge.

How many people just give their friends games and don't expect to get them back once they're done? That seems like a policy they haven't finished thinking through yet.

Edited by CodeFire

Buy a PC, there. Good to fucking go.

Fuck Microsoft. :p

* I should clarify, since quite a few didn't understand what I was getting at.

Fuck Microsoft's Xbox Team and it's shitty console. :p

Edited by fizzylift

What a sad state of affairs when a game journalist outfit has to break down a game hardware manufacturers DRM for its new console because they can't be hard pressed to not bullshit us. And it took 40 minutes to wade through it all.

Posted by Godlyawesomeguy

Wait, so what counts as a "Family member"? Do they all pay one fee for Xbox Live? Can only two members of the family play their libraries at once? Can those two people play the same game at once? I really wish this wasn't so convoluted.

Posted by UnnDunn

No big deal for me; Steam has stricter restrictions, and I've been playing on that just fine for years.

Posted by Djungelurban

This kills selling games on eBay...

Edited by rauelius

Still not even considering an Xbox One...I don't care about "settings" I want to be able to not even have to connect it!

Posted by Pocky4Th3Win

The internet requirement is so bad, here in Minnesota once you got 45min north of Minneapolis the internet gets really shitty. That means no one living in those areas would have a good experience with the console. The lack of loaning a game on a console is retarded. I loan ps3 games to my friends all the time because I am more financially able to buy games than he is. With the Xbox one I wouldn't be able to do that.

Edited by neoepoch

I don't want to be a part of this headache and hassle of a system.

I know Microsoft gets a lot of flak for this, but I'm more disappointed in the publishers who pushed so hard for this because they think all of their consumers are criminals.

Edited by kmg90

I agree with Patrick 100%, these changes and policies do nothing but hinder the way legit customers consume their games that they paid hard earned money to enjoy! Most if not all these policies do nothing but kill the extreme edge cases that result in (potential of) lost profits (piracy, used game sales and all the other scapegoat bullshit game publishers have pinned on lack of game sales)

I really hope this kills the industry, I really do because this is too damn draconian and provides ABSOLUTELY NO BENEFIT TO THE CONSUMER!

Edited by Inquisitor

Might as well wait for the Steam Box.

yep, definitely...

I think that if some of these things actually go through, they could really change the landscape of gaming...

on the upside.. there is a possibility that consumers will take a stand, and these draconian measures and the obviously tremendous investments that the companies have done will blow up on their face destroy them.

I really hope so.

Also.. I really like my consoles... so I HOPE Sony has the balls to steer away from this... its a long shot.. but imagine how good it would make them look.. tbh I can live with no ubisoft games ever. And really..can EA, Activision and Ubisoft afford to lose 2/3rds of the gaming market? If They really put their foot down.. they'd probably have to reconsider.

Posted by bhlaab

So no ebay and no amazon used. Good to know.

Posted by Hunter5024

Well they're wrong about one thing, Sony has already announced that their console doesn't require an always on connection, so we can rule out them copying Microsoft to the letter. It's going to be interesting to see how they try and implement DRM without an internet connection though.

Love how Jeff's still rocking street brands in his 30's, a true fashion killa

Posted by HulkHanson

What an anti-consumer, convoluted mess. I fully expect Sony to fuck up somewhere but, by god, I hope it's not like this.

Posted by DoctorWelch

This stuff is so simple, but I feel like they just made it sound way more complicated with this jumbled discussion.

Edited by Colourful_Hippie

lol, fuck that nonsense

Posted by darkdragonmage99

Well it's offical microsoft can go fuck it self I am not going to be treated like I'm stealing some them when I'm paying for all my shit

Posted by gaggle64

I want to watch Jeff manually stacking that fruit.

Edited by Max_Cherry

Fuck! The Internet is ruining gaming as it does with everything else. We need to set a hard limit on Microsoft before they run away with consumer rights altogether.

Posted by HerbieBug

guys could you maybe put the camera on a tripod or something if these mailbag/i love mondays videos are going to be more than a couple minutes? you're making me motion sick.

Posted by LittlemanBodie

Jezus H. Christ this shit is convoluted.

Posted by KaneRobot

Cameo by the delivery guy.

Also, fuck off Microsoft. Probably fuck off Sony as well, but I'll wait for confirmation.

Posted by cAnDyMaN69666

Within a week waiting for people to buy the console and start playing games I fully expect Anon to hack and bring that shit all down. This is the type of stuff they like to prove points against big corporations for

Edited by MosaicM80

In other words, you better have the internet if you want to play our games. Deal with it!

Posted by Carlos1408

Well Xbox you went ahead and killed it. It's final for me now, I'm going to switch to PC and possibly Wii U somewhere down the line. Fuck you Microsoft! I'm not standing for this, I reckon I could probably live with it and deal with it. Out of principle though I just find it appalling, I literally want nothing to do with it. Didn't think I'd ever say this but if it looks like I'm abandoning console gaming (unless I end up getting a Wii U, but that'll be no time soon).
