Oh I'm aware. I guess my point is that fanfiction is now in the back of my mind whenever I see crossover material. Its a horrible curse.

I get it now. Nintendo never really cared about the Console Wars. They just wanted to defeat publicly humiliate SEGA. Smash Bros., Sonic & Mario Olympics, Lost World crossovers... Nintendo won their console war a long time ago and these are the spoils of their victory.

Yeah but there's that kind of fanfiction for literally everything. There's a whole genre of that kind of stuff called "Rule 34". Google that term at your own risk.

You might as well get creeped out when you see Halo, or Gears of War, or Mario, because somebody, somewhere, has gotten their rocks off to Master Chief nailing Cortana, and that's being prudish. Welcome to the modern internet.

This would have seemed innocent to me before I knew about all the sonic fanfiction online. Now this just seems really weird.

Call me when that bananas Dynasty Warriors + Zelda crossover game comes out. I like both those things a lot (so sue me!)

Some of you seem to be taking this way too seriously. This is nothing more than harmless free bonus content along the lines of N7 armor in Dead Space or all those games on Steam with TF2 characters in them.

It's not as though this an entire game, and if it's anything like the Yoshi's Island DLC for Lost World it will be like 5-10 minutes of total content. It's just a goofy free piece of content that shouldn't be taken to represent some line of desperation being crossed by Nintendo or evidence of the downfall of Zelda. Chill out.

I'd heard this was coming a few weeks ago. I assumed the person that mentioned it was joking. Oh well, it's hard to complain when it's free. I guess it will be the last time I ever play Lost World. The Yoshi DLC took about two minutes to finish.

Seriously, though, I'm actually a Majora's Mask supporter as well. That game was great. Probably top three for me.

As a consumer, it's hard to be upset, because hey free content.

I'm the kind of chump who would be into this, but man. MAN. Those graphics. The Goron model looks like it's from Ocarina of Time.

I think this is cool. Still just Nintendo being fast (no pun intended) and loose with their IP now like with Tekken Tag 2 or Super Scribblenauts. Just some stupid fun because, hey, why not.

Sonic is one of my favorite Nintendo characters.

@ottoman673: Between Super Mario Bros Special, Star Fox Assault, and the CD-i, I can't say I do, but since it's easy to look up what's developed by who, it hardly means anything to me.

It's the cosplay that pushes it into insanity for me. I'm on board up to that point, but Sonic dressing up as dudes for no reason, just weird.

@phoenix87: Every time Nintendo publishes something new, it tanks hard, even if it gets critical praise. There's a reason every other game is a Mario or Zelda.

I love the bit with the chickens at the end. The DLC SEGA and Nintendo are putting together for Sonic Lost World is awesome. I kind of want to buy it and play these levels.

This is the best day in at least one person's life. And that person has a DeviantArt gallery full of Sonic and Link being enormously fat and probably eating each other.
