Same here. After the QL I completely forgot this game existed. Does look interesting, though.

I dunno about the game, but the song is some bombass shit.

Definitely conceptually interesting, maybe I'll give it a try one day.

Posted by drowsap

if it goes on steam i may pick it up

The older I get, the more "purer" game experiences interest me - I might take a look at this.

This trailer makes it look way more fast-paced than I remember from the Quick Look, anyway, I think it looks like a cool little game, don't think I'm going to buy it though, I'm not really in the mood for slow, tactical games right now, Reach is out tomorrow!

Something like Battle Isle: Incubation?

The game looks pretty cool, but I don't like the character models. Nice song to go with the action though!

This game is pretty good. I've enjoyed every minute of it so far, and they just keep adding things into it.

Posted by kms_md

i picked it up after the QL - i still have yet to set it up (but i plan to, honest ... )

Posted by whitesox

So, who thought this was gonna be another quick look?

Posted by Brodehouse

This looks really interesting, however it seems a little too hardcore for my tastes.  I'd love something with greater depth than your average JRPG tactics grid-based thing, but this might be a little too deep.  It seems like something that has two mindless tutorial levels that teach you how to do basically nothing, and then spikes the difficulty immediately, assuming you've figured out complex tactics.

I believe in the gameplay style, I just don't know if this game makes it accessible at all.

@Darko:  I've been checking their website every week since the QL and every time I think I'll buy it next week.
I really like the game but I'd rather just get 1 code for $15 or smth, instant buy in that case.

Looks interesting.

I'll probably buy it if it comes to Steam

Posted by jozzy

$26 dollars seems a little steep.

Anyone played Laser Squad Nemesis? Was the same kind of tactical turn based combat, but was actually played by sending turns through e-mail..

Posted by TheChaos

Those rockets look a little overpowered.

Posted by Milkman

I thought this game came out a long time ago.

Distribution via Steam please!

I used to love me some UFO/X-Com turn based tactical shooters.

I was just thinking about this game the other day and here it is.

I agree - the price is deterring me a bit.  I am probably mistaken but in the Quick Look that Dave, Vinny and Mike did for this game awhile back, didn't they say that e-mailed turns would be in the game?  Or am I making that up...?

If it appears on steam, I will probably buy it. Otherwise... no.

Don't forget that price is for 2 games.  One for you and one for a friend.  Of course, you need to know someone who's interested to give the other code to though.

Indie Game coverage from GB makes me want to see them Quick Look Minecraft.

That music was fucking great. The build up a little after 1 minute on, I need it. Anyone know what it was?

Posted by MisterMouse

I saw the quick look and it seemed like a cool game but I feel like it could have been so much better.

I'm one of the developers of Frozen Synapse.  We're actually running a promotion to get 25% off the game at the moment -just enter the coupon code INDIEPOWER when you pre-order.

The music was composed especially for this trailer (by me!) - I'll add it to the music pack you get with the pre-order shortly, and it will eventually be included with the game.

We're currently doing everything we can to ensure the game gets distribution on Steam.

Thanks very much for all the support and comments.

Loved the music - may just be the thing that makes me go for the pre-order.

I'm waiting for the final version.  They're talking about campaign mode and a play by e-mail type game mode.  Can't wait to see the final product.

This video needs more quotes.

I doubt I will get anyone to play this with me.  TBS-games like this are an acquired taste to say the least. Which is a shame, I would love playing a game like this regularly with someone I know.

I suck at strategy games, but I did alright when I first started playing this.

Well that's good to hear, I might look into it.  If my comp can handle it... it seems pretty low-key.

It seems like someone writes them a question regarding the similarity to laser squad nemesis on every other one of their podcast episodes. The game keeps you updated on new turns if you're logged into the game, and if you are not, it will send you an e-mail.

Shame there's apparently no Linux version, would have enjoyed picking this up.

Looks kinda like combat mission. I'm keeping my eye on this.

They're missing a quote in this.

"It's a. . .uh, yeah let's uh, you know, yeah there's things." - Dave Snider

Posted by simian

It's fun but still really buggy when it comes to the itnterface. I played it for a bit after the original QL but haven't gone back since... Maybe I'll head back in eventually once I have a better system. Right now my 'gaming pc' is a so-so netbook. Bleh.
