Around the Office: A Requiem for Blades

I personally don't miss the old Xbox 360 interface, nor do I miss the console for that matter. PSN is growing so I really don't have any reason to be on the 360. Especially if online gaming is going to be free, and with rumors of Microsoft getting rid of their 12 month subscription cards, why be on the 360 console anymore?

Updating that 360 is like playing that song from the Dear Sister SNL Parody.

As much as I didn't like the design for the blades, I did like how the interface didn't pause all the time when I hit the guide button.  Although they fixing that in the Fall for which I will be glad.

The only thing I liked about that xbox update was the addition of supported resolutions. The new UI sucks balls.

Blades were ugly as hell. I prefer the NXE.

i love the blades the new stuff makes me sick when i use it so i just use the 360 button all the time

Blades were nice.  it was nice now to get slapped in the face by ads everytime I turned on my Xbox.

The blades were better, and faster. It felt personal. NXE is too.. Air-y.

I liked the blades better.

To be honest, I have no feelings about the UI, i really just own an xbox for the games, so the UI can change as crazy as it wants to...

I would have liked to see if they did another redesign, if you can update to it from blades (skipping NXE or by way of NXE) without any problems :) 

I miss the blades.

Yeah, I would just want to get into the game. Screw the advertising, who's popular on Xbox, and such. To me, this is turning too much into some casual social stuff. That's why I'm glad that I set the option for the game to start if there's a disc in the tray.

I liked the blades much better. The NXE makes the 360 so slow, blades were slow themselves but much friendlier.

Because I had both the PS3 and an Xbox 360, I didn't update my Xbox until about 2 months ago.  I played the fuck out of my PS3, but after it borked, I was stuck with my  360.  Which red ringed on me about 2 months later.

Exchanged them both, plus all my PS3 gear and $60 for a Resident Evil Xbox 360 Elite.  I like it better then I ever liked my PS3.

So yeah, where I live they have this neato free wireless internet service for the whole city.  It's pretty sweet.

Except for the fact that, because of the way it works, you can't hook your consoles up to the internet.  My ps3, wii, and xbox360 have never touched the internets and they aren't likely to be online in the near future.

I am most definately rocking some serious blades...this sucks.

watching this makes me realise how i do not in any way miss the blades, the new xbox experience really was a good move.
