Is it just me or when the shotgun bullets hit does it not seem to be ON the guy? 

Jeff is shooting more than being in cover. Impressive. Also, hot lady in the Unreal engine? Hot.

I wonder if the increased focus on the lambent is one of the reasons why the USK here in Germany has agreed to give the game an 18 rating (as opposed to Gears 1 and 2, which were not released at all because they wouldn't have gotten a rating). They don't bleed red blood, something which the USK has always been sensitive to.

Anyways, the game looks outstanding, and hearing Jeff describe the plot and storytelling got me unexpectedly excited, too.

Until they get out of the chopper, the game looks pretty awful. Lack of shadows reallllllllly shows. After that though fuck, the game looks gorgeous. And really happy to hear maybe this time around they are going to hit some more mature tones. They definitely touched on some more mature content in Gears 2 but this looks like it might actually go all the way. Either way, looks awesome!

Never been the biggest fan of the gears games, but I'm curious to see how this madness ends.

Man, I didn't realize how much I wanted to return to the conflict in Gears until I checked out this video. I am not sure that I will have the disposable income necessary to purchase this game when it comes out (why do all the big releases start right after the school year begins? Ugh!) but I will make it a point to grab a copy eventually.

The tagging system works well for multiplayer. 
 
Only a month away. This and the Diablo III beta is all I need for the year.

Like like it plays better than ever, the storytelling looks interesting.  For the love of god, though, I really hope the origin/backstory of the locust is explained this time.

I should play through Gears 2 again. Co-op. Giant Bomb should do a Hoard or Co-op gears 2 TNT sometime between now and the games release.

God this game looks fantastic! I CAN'T WAIT!

Looks brown and, I gotta say, boring. I'm sure it's another competent third person shooter, but blah.

I've got a soft spot for Gears of War. I can't play one more than twice, but I am totally up for a new one. For me it is a great game always the first time through, both for fiction and gameplay.

There's no way this is the last Gears of War...I wouldn't mind seeing a little different structure...maybe a game set during the Pendulum Wars or something...

Can't wait! New Gears game, New console, hell yea!

I'm glad that the story is going to be a little more grounded. I know that Karen Traviss is the one writing the story and I've read the Gears books and they are amazing.

I'm glad they didn't remade Anya into a walking muscle tank.

Looks like you team really likes to run in front of your fire.

I don't get it.  They keep talking about the story like it has any worth at all.  The entire script for the Gears franchise could be substituted with grunts and it wouldn't hurt anything.

Oh hey it's another Gears of War game.

You know...I don't really like the gears universe or the games that much, but the gravity placed on the mental state of the characters make me WAAAY more interested. I might actually pick this up.

I can't help but feel impressed by how this game looks. It looks really good!
 
And hey it just might have a story interesting enough for me to even follow, seeing as how the characters will be provided some depth in this here game.

Watching this I'm reminded of how much I loathe Gears, and I'm even more stunned to have heard Jeff say he thinks it has better encounter design than Vanquish. After Vanquish, this games feels so slow, plodding, and boring.

Graphically it looks much better than the older games. The story also sounds like it could be really cool.

Now if I could just get past the gameplay.....

for me this is my most anticipated game of the year, i love the Gears series its why i finally bought a 360, this will be a long months wait.

I think EPIC is gonna make up for Gears 2 in a big big way this looks fantastic.

Good lord this game is brown and muddy. Everything looks like it is made of clay almost. It is jarring at this point because games are actually good looking and colorful again. 

I've never played Gears of War, and I understand this was like the first "first" 3rd person cover-based shooter to go big. But this honestly the most generic shooter I've seen. Thanks to Resistance 3 and this game to bring back the brown palette and glowy blood; and it honestly baffles me Jeff went on for that long about the story elements. This a game to chainsaw people in half your oversized gun, not to watch this roided-out psychos get sad over a cardboard sign.

Oh well, co-op always makes things more tolerable.

I am hype. It looks like more of the same which is pretty much fine with me, the character rotating actually could be cool. Only disappointment is to hear that the difficulty is being scaled back and that it looks like this game is going to be focusing on fighting lambent a lot more when I always preferred locust as an enemy.

Gears again. Though I do like hearing that Jeff is interested in how the story wraps up.

I can't wait to finish the fight.

I feel bad for people who are too "indie" to like Gears of War.

I got a 360 about a month before the original Gears came out and it was the second game that I played on the system. I liked it. I didn't get around to playing Gears 2 until earlier this year and I had the same problem with it that I've had with just about every 1st/3rd person shooter for the last couple of years. I got bored about half way through. I think I'm just sick of shooting dudes. I probably won't play this one for awhile either. I think I just need a nice long break.

I tried to not be interested, too many good games this holiday! BUT DAMN!

AAA games being AAA games. Expected nothing but awesome from this game, so far so good!

Good lord. Cole's neck in that thumbnail is exactly why I don't play these games.
