I guess everybody moved from the Inception soundtrack to dubstep. That's totally fine with me. Not that I dislike orchestral stabs, but c'mon! Dubstep!

Posted by Vorbis

Loved Brotherhood but I just have no interest in more of the same. Going to need more convincing this is worth picking up.

Posted by G0rd0nFr33m4n

I hate to be a sour puss, but this is pretty much the same moves as every AC game since #1 right ?

IS THERE MORE WOBBLE BASS IN THIS TRAILER?

Nope, not enough wobble bass.

The move at 1:00 is new, and anything involving the hook blade would be new, but, yeah, it looks like it's the same moves since AC2.

No one trailer should....

No brotherhood? I'll pass.

Unless this all turns out to be an elaborate farce, and the game actually mostly takes place in the real world.

Posted by Waffles13

If every everything from now until forever is just dubstep... I'm okay with that.

Also, as much as I adore the insane kill animations in AC2 and AC:B, I miss that one move from AC1 where you stab a guy in the foot, then when he bends over in pain, you swing up and basically lop his head off. That resonated with me for some reason.

I love all assassin's creed games, and yes I even slightly liked the original, and this one looks awesome!

Unfortunately it'll be releasing within four weeks either side of Skyrim, which for me is a videogames no-flyover-zone, apart from Skyrim of course.

I'm an elder scrolls nut so I've got to make a tactical decision and unfortunately pass on any games untill Christmas comes around and I can suggest it as a Christmas present from one of my family members.

I seem to remember reading that there is a brotherhood in Konstantinopel. So you'll still be able to order murder on the fly.

I like dubstep to a point and it's a good trailer genre. But now every goddamn trailer has dubstep in it.

AC is the highest acclaimed series with the least amount of innovation from game to game.

It's a GOOD series, but, yah.

I think they brought in those kill moves with AC2, AC1 was pretty basic, if I remember correctly.

Er, folks, this doesn't seem to be Dubstep. Syndicate has WUBWUB dubstep bass.

Anyway, cool.

Is it just me, or does this game lack polish? There's something really odd looking about the way that this game looks graphically. Doesnt look as crisp and polished as AC2 or ASSBRO

I already thought that Brotherhood didn't look as impressive as AC2 and AC1.

Anyway, I'm not ready yet for another AC game. In my opinion they're throwing them out way too fast. I'd go as far and say after AC1, 2 and Brotherhood I'm currently pretty sick of this style of gameplay.

The changes from AC 1 to AC 2 were dramatic, and even Brotherhood brought plenty of new things to the table. I'm sure that they won't be able to keep up the same pace with this installment though.

While those counter moves were cool in 2007, now something seems... off. Look at how the enemy NPC's react to the moves. Something is off. They should use motion capture next time, it'll make those kills a bit more credible.

On another note, I hope that the combat will have a sliver of challenge now.

As far as I know this is the 'B Team' that worked on brotherhood making this, while the 'Main Team' have been working on AC3 since not long after AC2.

If all goes to plan I have to assume that AC3 will be a holiday 2012 release (coinciding with the game's story,) and will be a totally new engine and setting.

Here's to hoping it is!

And I am TOTALLY okay with that. Fuckin' love this series. I'm not jumping on this 'it's too soon for a new assassin's creed' bandwagon until they manage to disappoint me.

This would explain quite a bit. Certain areas of Brotherhood looked noticeably weaker than the previous main games. I even remember staring at the impressive rock formations in AC1 on the way out of Masyaf towards the open Kingdom, never seen stuff like that in the sequels. Cliffs and rocks look more plain the more recent the AC title is.

Some of the animations look a bit stiff. They don't look bad by any means, but AC has always set the bar pretty high for animation, so it kind of stands out. Regardless, still my most anticipated game of the year. I know some people are getting sick of the yearly installments, but they change more than enough to keep me interested.

I've said this before, but I don't really get why people criticize it for not changing enough. When I compare it to almost any other series, I don't see how their sequels are that different from the previous games either. I'm not saying anyone is wrong, I just don't understand where they're coming from. My hunch is because they're annual installments, but I don't know for sure.

Posted by TheLastNeo

@Hexogen: I'll still play it regardless because I really wanna know just what the fuck is going on, especially after what happens at the end of assbro

Not entirely true. AC2 took all the kill moves from AC1 and expanded the set with new sets for the different weapons. But basically, all the running and jumping animations from AC1 are still there in the code. Just that they add bits and bits more everytime they make a sequel.

There's a couple scenes where Ezio is murdering away and NPCs are just walking around all slow like they don't give a fuck. The world of AC is full of sociopaths!

Actually Brotherhood's Single Player was made partially by the core team behind the first two games. This one, not so much. I believe this is mostly made at Ubisoft Annecy, which made the multiplayer in Brotherhood. AC2 was the last game that was made almost entirely by the main team in Montreal. It should also be mentioned that several of the lead team members of the AC series left partway through Brotherhood and joined up with THQ Montreal where they are working on a new IP to be released in 2013-2014.
