Really determined to run this franchise into the dirt arent they. I lost my love for it after AC2, Im honestly surprised its still doing well churning them out once a year, and now two this year.

I would rather see a modern game set during the troubles in North Ireland. Something other than another colonial era game.

This interests me more than Unity. Maybe just becuase there's the suggestion, the slightest hint that this might be an interesting spin on the whole Assassins/Templars bollocks. I quite like this trailer too. Cool music, nice concept. Pity about the Screen Junkies Honest Trailers guy at the end there.

@hailinel: How does this new game have anything to do with that comment about animation for female characters? And why aren't you playing the AC game with a female protag if you want to do that so badly? Already one out there. You could talk mess about Halo or Uncharted not having female leads, but there is actually an AC game with a playable female character on store shelves.

@atwa: They have spoken about Unity having a more open world structure, less about taking a mission and going from A to B constantly and more about developing a story based on how the player navigates the world. I don't know how drastic that is, and I'm sure it's no where near a story that actually involves you wondering around 100% of the time, but they are trying to develop it in a more interesting direction for sure.

I am more interested in the setting for this game than I am for AC:Unity. But then again, I feel really burnt out on this series. I hope that either this game or Unity can give us something novel or fresh feeling. Black Flag was the best AC game in years but it still felt like a very traditional AC game.

This game is just another black flag. If you want fresh you should go for unity.

Ugh, yet another terrible Irish accent in games. Seriously, how hard is it to hire an Irish actor? They totally exist! It's all the more disappointing because they did right by Anne Bonny in Black Flag.

The existence of this game is whatever, but I sort of think it's cool that a game is being announced in August and released merely a few months later. It's a shame more games don't get that treatment, regardless of the quality of this specific product.

Why are people so surprised about this? Ubisoft announced that there would be two different AC titles on separate generations before we even saw the first bit of leaked footage from Unity.

As much as I love AC, can you imagine playing Unity on current-gen at the end of October then going back to previous gen in November? Maybe I'll wait for it to hit PC during a Steam sale. Or just think of it as one of those PSP games and forget it exists.

Given the accent they gave Arno, the French (technically French-Austrian, apparently) main character of Unity, that guy could actually be... German, or American. Or French.

Yes, I know he's actually supposed to be Irish. But his voice isn't as delightful to listen to as that of Danny O'Dwyer, so I'd say that Ubi Soft missed a choice opportunity there.

This series has pretty much gone down the shitter since Brotherhood. No ACIV was not good, it was laughably bad. The accent and the "oh shit another pasty white dude count me surprised"-reveal, doesn't exactly excite me for this one.
