Assassin's Creed: Rogue Is That Other Assassin's Creed Game Coming Out This Year

40 bucks is a reasonable price for a full fledged AC game with some reused content on a last generation console.

I'll be buying both this and Unity, they sound pretty great.

Assassin's Creed was my favorite new franchise of last generation and it continues to be one of my favorites this generation.

Fans of Assassins want to play as an Assassin! Playing as a templar isn't going to convince people who are not interested in Assassins to be interested! Who is this game for?

I literally laughed when the ad ended in "Exclusively on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3". I can't wait for the "remastered" version that'll come out in 10 months.

Haha, that's where you and I disagree, because I actually really liked Assassin's Creed III, in spite of its flaws. I've wound up enjoying every main Assassin's Creed game on some level. O_o

That trailer voice at the end sounds a lot like the guy who does the voice over for Honest Trailers on YouTube.

I was going to get AC IV when I got a PS4 but I still haven't done that, and now having missed one main line release I feel no inclination to get either this or Unity. Playing as a turned assassin could be interesting, and the ship stuff in III is why I thought I might like IV so if this is heavy on that I might cave and get it.

I like this idea WAY more than France... Hate that it is on old consoles... I want the shiny thing, on my shiny, new box.

AC4's premise of Abstergo making a video game was funny, but Desmond's story had more potential. They should have created a new resistance cell of Assassins rather than throwing away any sort of stakes in the present.

I like the Assassin's Creed games. I know I am almost alone in this, but I have always enjoyed the stories (except for 3 - that shit was wack, yo). Obviously you can run in and kill everyone now since they have made that so easy but I still play like its the first game and try to sneak in while only killing my target. Maybe I am just weird but AC1 was my favorite and Unity looks like it will have a similar vibe. Rogue looks like an interesting story also. I'll probably pick it up after I am done with Unity.

@deskp: I like the Arctic scene at the end. I thought that it would be a more northern-focused theme. I think I am mostly burnt out on AC in general. I hope Unity is good but I think it needs to do somethings differently for me to get it near launch.

I'm on board for more AC. I know they're just churning these things out, but I really do enjoy them.

Assassin's Creed: Rogue told me more about it's story and premise in 2 minutes and got me more interested in it as a result than months and months of Unity's BS.

Well, to be fair it would be interesting to play as a templar if done right (right?). But more importantly yeah, I want Danny O'Dwyer on the quicklook doing his best "assassin" one-liners start to finish.

@clonedzero: While I liked Conner, I wished we would have gotten to see more of Haythem. But yeah I've wanted to have a playable Templar for awhile lol. Wonder if Ubisoft will start making another series like Templar's Oath or something like that XD. Regardless I hope they don't make Shay a mustache twirling villain, and maybe even show Templar in a good light. You know, since both sides allegedly intend to help humanity, just different ideals.

Actually that was a big problem i had with AC3.

they had you play as Haythem, who i thought was great btw, and work with all his goons. The dudes you'd be asssassinating as conner later on. The thing is, they all seemed like nice, good people. Until the big templar reveal happened, then every scene after that they were cartoonishly evil. Wtf?

@clonedzero: Pretty sure the intent was that the power corrupted them, and so while they started out as good people, as time passed on they became bastards. Still I agree that they should have stayed good people with an opposing ideal. It would have made killing them in several ways tragic.

No multiplayer is a bummer, basically they were like "well we screwed up ACIV's multi, let's not even bother trying to fix it and just take it out of the series entirely."

More ships...GAHHHH I found the ship parts so borrrrinngggggg in AC3 and 4.
