Relatively speaking, they almost certainly are. I doubt Pig Farmer Productions has had any successes on the scale of the Joe Danger games.

I remember the Spookin' with Scoops that featured a game like this. I just don't remember if the killer ever showed up in it.

Just spent some time with this game, and honestly, I love it, but fuck it. I finished it, but the road to finishing it was long, tiring, and tense. The rampaging asshole does not screw around when it comes to placing world record times for disembowling people, or the times the game glitches out and doesn't play the music for when he is chasing you down until he's already taking your head off.

But the scene when you first "meet" the guy is pretty damn great and is the highlight of the game's visual style.

This is that non-licensed indie-produced Halloween game that came out at the end of last year. I guess they changed just enough to release it for real.

You, the player, playing the game and battling Freddy, who is playing a game within the game to kill you.

Oh man, I never even considered a NOES adventure game! That would be incredible. Maybe covering what happened with Nancy between 1 and 3, or Alice after 5. Featuring Dokken as themselves! :P

But really, now the rest of my day is going to be spent imagining what such a game would be like. It would have to have Power Glove support, of course...

Absolutely! I've always loved the idea of a Nightmare on Elm Street adventure game that plays like Heavy Rain or one of the modern-day Telltale games. Then again, given that Telltale appear to be on a mission to adapt every property known to mankind into an adventure game, maybe 'Telltale's Nightmare on Elm Street' won't be too far off...

Really hope this'll usher in a new era of indie survival horror games using PS1 graphics & conventions, most importantly the camera angles and pre-rendered backgrounds!

Why? Why can we not have a good, polished horror movie game? Maybe this will be great, but I'm not getting my hopes up... especially since "Michael" *coughcough* is my least favorite of The Big Three, so it would have to be pretty damn good to win me over.

Now, an Elm Street game, on the other hand... one that doesn't involve punching bats or a really bizarre DOS-based retelling of Dream Warriors...

Really like the look, though in some spots they could go a little less far with PS1-ness and make more Dreamcast-y.

I actually really like these graphics. There's something aesthetically fitting about creepy old PS1-era graphics.

The dev's FAQ says that it's both - he's not an artist, so that was the partial reason, but he likes the crummy look of PSX games and aimed to homage that.

This trailer sounds fantastic. It looks.... not so much.

That music is great, the jump scare totally got me and Pig Farmer Games is a great name for a studio. I'm sold.
