Something I've always loved about the battlefield series is how the guns sound, this doesn't disappoint in that aspect. Looking forward to it.

Oh man.  I didn't care before but this looks REALLLLLY good.  I like how the scope jumps and scatters when yer ADS.  It looks real.

So.... this looks better than anything I've seen out of COD. Hopefully the whole game is like this.

Looks good. Singleplayer looks like gravy at this point in time to me. I'm most curious to see what they're doing with squad/commander systems for this round. I liked the ability of commanding units being able to set objectives and waypoints in the multiplayer, and I'd like to see them expand on that more.

They are throwing down the gauntlet at Modern Warfare for sure. Looks great but I really want some MP gameplay though.

Well, damn. Color me impressed! Really smooth looking graphics and animations. Sound design seems excellent as well.

Wait... so they had car honks and helicopters "censor" some swearing, but then one guy near the end says "I'm fucked up, but I'm up". Why the inconsistency?

First of all - biggest battlefield fan right here. This looks ok. Its obviously been touched up a little for viewing purposes. To be honest though, theres nothing in that trailer that is selling me and/or looks different from any other FPS. This could be medal of honor for all we know. The only thing that stood out was the response to the sit-rep call sounded very natural and non acted "up, but fucked up" was pretty cool. Also its funny, the first half of the trailer they did really well bleeping out the "fucks", then they just said screw it and let loose all the Fs. Hopefully the multiplayer will kick ass...

I'm getting hyped for BF3 already, started playing BFBC2 multiplayer again. That is a great game, and now with all these new maps I hadn't tried before. Can't believe it got snubbed for multiplayer by GB.

i really like what im seeing of the single player, looks way cooler than anything ive seen from bad company and cod.... and i might actually buy a shooter for the first time in a while if the multiplayer is like battlefield 2.... but if its small map bullshit like cod and bad company.... that would be a shame

I tried reallly hard not to be impressed.  Really hard.

If I can't run this maxed out at 60fps in 1920x1080 with my 5870, I am going to upgrade. This game looks too damn good to run in anything less than perfect.

This looks simply amazing. 

I'm already sold, and I think it looks very impressive and leaps and bounds better than Bad Company 2 (which I DID enjoy). What little of the plot we've seen, at the very least, seems more mature and gritty than BC2. I dunno about everyone else, but I was not a fan of Marlow and gang at all.
 
However, most of all I really want to see some new and interesting scenarios outside of middle-eastern conflict. Don't give me something laughable like the nondescript Mexican terrorists of GRAW either!

It's not like when I saw the Half Life 2 trailer for the first time or even the Bioshock trailer. I guess we are at a point where there's very diminishing returns when it comes to games. It's not like when I first saw the Dreamcast and how much better than PS1 that looked, or when I saw Donkey Kong Country and couldn't believe it was a 16-bit game. This just looks like a modern military shooter, but a bit more polished.

Pre alpha software? Whatever it is, it looks amazing. Hot damn. The gun reports are stellar and the little flash when the RPG is fired...preordered sight unseen (having seen it makes it sweeter)

Still wanna see the multiplayer, but this looks really good.
Satisfying build-up of tension leading to the firefight.

Are they predicting the US will be engaged with warfare against the Iranian forces by 2014? 
Are the scripted missions par for the course for the recent Battlefield games?

Holy shit.

Wow, for all of Medal of Honor's crooning about authenticity, this looks a lot more compelling in that department. The atmosphere in this trailer is really good, and its just so... restrained. There's only 30 seconds of traditional gunplay here, and the rest is buildup.
 
I think this game would be really interesting to play if it can stick to that kind of design philosophy.

Ohhh yeah. Giving the other modern combat games a run for their money. Definitely the right move, I think. Battlefield's always been about the multiplayer, to the degree that the main series never even had a campaign until now. But what better way to draw in newcomers than pretend to be Call of Duty or Medal of Honor for a few hours with a tight, firmly guided and carefully scripted singleplayer campaign, and then break out the big guns, tear down some buildings and display some of those 64 player arenas, with vehicles and everything.
 
Then the game leans back and says, "Hey, you know, this is what we've been about all along. Yes, you were missing out, all those years. But here's your chance to finally press "multiplayer" and join us. Go on. I know you liked that tank level..."

The beginning part was so cool but when the shooting started it seemed like an another FPS. I hope the game has highs and lows like this. I hate the COD roller-coaster style because it gets really overwhelming and frankly boring after a while. MW1 still had some concept of pacing and that's why it was so great. 

Waiting for the pre-order to hit Steam.

I love me some battlefield, but this just looks like the same bland FPS crap. We stand around the map while the commander points at it, then we run past a bunch of soldiers/vehicles off on their way to combat, then we all gather around the door before we go in, we check corners, we clear rooms, and then a sniper and/or an rpg kills someone/blows something up.

The campaign is negligible, in fact I'm surprised they have one at all. The game should straight up be 100% multiplayer, and I will only be happy once I've seen they did the multiplayer right.

Shit that owns. Also the part where is had WASD is pretty comforting.

Y'know, at least the shadow textures doesn't look jagged. 
 
Just my personal nitpicking on every game engine this gen, is the horrible jagged shadows.

this is battlefield, i honestly dont care about anything they wanna chuck into the single player, i only care about the multiplayer, this looks like CoD, which is fine cos bad company's single players have been somewhat lacking, but i honestly could not give 2 shits about what they have shown so far, where is the multiplayer trailers damn it!
