Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Single-Player Interview

Who knew this would be the last good battlefield game :(

Some games should just give up on the concept of "single player campaign". This is one of those.

I take it this means no driving tanks around on a golf course this time.

Pity they've taken the main difference between the two series, Humor,  an irreverent tone, and a focus on the whole "they ain't anything special, just a bunch of guys over they're heads" motif; the things that made Bad Company BAD COMPANY; and CHUCKED them to the curb.  What you end up with is a semi-class based "relistic" multiplayer focused shooter that looks a WHOLE FUCKING LOT like MW2 in all respects save for the guns, location, and characters. "

Looks kind of like MW2. . . except it's going to actually be good.

Well, this is obviously superior to MW2 since it will have dedicated servers on the PC.

I swear the more I see of Bad Company 2 the less I want it. Way to take everything GOOD and DIFFERENT from the first game, throw it out, and turn it into a Modern Warefare 2 clone.    Absolutely Pathetic.

Not really digging this "serious tone" business. There are plenty of serious FPS games out there. The biggest part of Bad Company 2's charm was it's goofy nature and if you take that away, it's just Battlefield. Not that there is anything particularly wrong with that...

Hardcore mode...thats a pleasant surprise.  If its done well it can mean a lot of success for this game.

I couldn't put down the beta when that was still going. Very excited for this game, although it sounds like I should probably get myself a copy of the first game and beat the campaign before March 2nd. 

 My game plan for about 6 months.
 
Mass Effect 2,Bad Company 2, and God of War 3

they have hardcore modes? thats good i guess. i hope the regular mode is the same as it was in badcompany 1 though.  i dont mind if they make a hardcore mode wth no hud and more weapon damage, but dont change how the original was in the non hardcore modes

All the footage is from the 360 version and it still looks amazing. This game has sleeper hit written all over it.

I loved the first games single-player. Can't wait to jump into this campaign.
