The voice Laura Bailey is known for is something I find MOST annoying. XD She has a less "Squeee" voice that sounds better. But anyway, I think Katherine is a bit saner.

I played the Japanese version to completion and don't recall any of the boxes violating Vincent or vice versa. Maybe it's in an alternate ending. There are boxes with creepy tongues in the game, so maybe! Just maybe!

I'm probably getting ahead of myself here. That being said, it's not as though Catherine is the first game to revolve around boxes or box-shaped objects. Certain seminal games from the 80s kinda sorta have copious amounts of block/box jumping and last time I checked, those games weren't exactly discounted for essentially being about jumping on top of "fucking boxes" for levels on end. Or maybe I'm wrong. Who knows! Maybe you hate those seminal games from the 80s, too, for that exact same reason, to which I would say, at least you're consistent in your dislike of games heavily revolving around boxes. I applaud that sort of intellectual steadfastness when one takes their belief and stretches them to their most plausible conclusions. It shows a real commitment to what one stands for, which, in the great debate about "to box or not to box" in video games, is quite a hefty load.

In my book, though, Catherine is as much about those boxes and only boxes as Tetris is about falling shapes and only falling shapes; you can technically say that, but in the case of the latter, everybody (probably) knows it's how those shapes get contextualized in the puzzles and gameplay mechanics that lend them their compelling power. Catherine is the same way. There isn't a whole lot to describe when it comes to its fundamental mechanics, but it's when you play it in practice that the depth makes itself apparent and becomes more than just being about those "fucking boxes." It's a game that prioritizes being a game first in that regard and there shouldn't be anything shameful if good gameplay can come in the form of those boxes which, in my experience with the game, is the case with Catherine. I'm probably biased after reviewing the game, though, so forgive me and my (hopefully polite) disagreement.

But I'm rambling, aren't I?

Although I do like blonde, blue-eyed girls, Katherine is someone who has been with you over a longer period of time, and has your kid, so I'm going to be more attached to her.

Yep. I own a 360 too, but I'm gonna get the PS3 version and it's unfortunate that the 360 has the better box art.

Wait a tick. I just realized something. Both of the voice actors for the two C/Katherines voiced the Lovers social links in Persona 3 and 4. Yukari and Rise.

Alright, this confusing point has risen once more and I must know the answer: is Chie's voice actress Laura Bailey or is it really Danielle Judovits? If it's the former, Chie's voice actress also voice Catherine.

@RPGeesus: Laura Bailey did in fact voice Rise, not Chie. I don't know who voiced Chie, though.

Internet says Laura Bailey voiced Rise, so she also voices Catherine, and that Chie was voiced by one Tracey Rooney.

Katherine seems like the defacto decent-guy choice, so Kath...or, er, Catherine.
