Now, that was possibly the worst weapons trailer I've ever seen. On the other hand, I absolutely love how the enemies in that game behaved, it seems fun as hell.

Toshihiro Nagoshi is all about story and characters. I'm sure it will break the mold in ways other than gameplay. It's certainly no, 'WHERES MAH WIFEEEE'

To me, this game seems to be running off the same engine as Vanquish.

This is honestly the most pathetic trailer I've seen since that QWOP sequel.

Those machines look pretty neat. 
Everything else puts me to sleep.

@Cook66: wrong! These weapons are new and unique, didn't you see how some of them have meat tenderizers attached to them?

I for one am looking forward to a future where I can shoot robots and beat my meat at the same time, talk about exotic!

I don't think it's possible to have exotic weapons anymore.
 
I think every variation of something that shoots out something else has been done. From shark guns to disco balls ... seen it all now.

I like how it said "Choose your weapon wisely" and then just showed this game's John Connor firing each gun. I thought that was really stupid, in an entertaining way.

I don't see this game really taking off. It's going to be a low quality Vanquish. You can quote me on that.

I think the game looks cool, but goddamn the generic "exotic" weapons x3
they didn't even bother to futurize them! pistol: desert eagle with some rails on it, shotgun: basically spas-12, machine-gun: Ag-3 with a..meat tenderizer on it? =/ and the sniper is the generic sniper in any current time period game, aswell as the grenades and the rocket launcher, lol.

This reminds me of Vanquish, although it's clearly slower paced and far more derivative of Gears of War. The visual style is still definitely similar to underrated, amazing games like Headhunter Redemption and Vanquish. Platinum games is probably still the better developer, but it makes me happy to see Amusement Vision make a game that isn't Yakuza :) It looks really cool. 
 
I wonder whose going to be developing Konami's teased, Lords of Shadow-style, big budget Contra reboot?

Watching this right after the newest Rage trailer kind of ruined it. I'm supposed to get excited about a pistol when I just saw a game that has death boomerangs? Sorry, no.

Yup. seems like your standard weapon loadout to me. But I do like the strategic dismembering of robits. More games need that, it's so much more fun and interesting than shooting bullet sponges that just stumble when you shoot them. I want my enemies to limp or crawl when I shoot em in the leg. Dead Space, Shadows of the Damned, both have it and both games have some of the most satisfying shooting gameplay in the genre.

This game looks like it might be pretty competent, but I'm trying to think if there's a way their marketing could make it seem MORE generic, and I'm at a loss.

Yup, still excited about this.

I know this is probably going to be a generic 3rd person cover shooter with janky controls, but the design aesthetic is pretty great. If this has co-op and even semi-decent gameplay, I'm going to have to give it a shot just to see all the purdy robits.

I pretty much wrote this game off after that first horrible trailer, but the part with the robots crawling at you terminator style was pretty cool.  Shotgun looks crappy though.

Gameplay footage confirms that you play as the humans and not the robots, I confirm that I will never play this game.
