BioShock Infinite Invades Disney Infinity

Hilarious idea that looks like complete shit in exactly the way it should. Awesome.

I mean the "looks like complete shit" in a loving way. Bioshock: Infinite is a gorgeous game. The artistry and vision behind it is astonishing. This Columbia level for Infinity is perfect in that it looks like a hasty cash-in/homage using relatively dinky tools. I would be uncomfortable if it looked any better.

Columbia is where the old Disney cartoons live, with their racist social structure and facist governmant.

It looks like a hastily assembled Garry's Mod map.

That is weird and beautiful.

Recreate all the racism with your friends.

But look it's Johnny V!

This isn't some official release or anything, someone just used the creation tools to make a bunch of buildings in the air. That's why they only say "Columbia" and not "THE CITY FROM BIOSHOCK INFINITE KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR BOOKER AND COMSTOCK TOYS SOON!"

I love Johnny and this seems stupid in a lot of the right ways, but two things:

From another extremely popular video game?

Was his audio recorded over a conference call?

I anticipate the eventual campaign DLC where the Song of the South playset brings it crashing to the ground.

What's with the mic quality? Also; isn't Disney Infinity a kids' game? I can't see the players of this and of Bioshock Infinite overlapping much.

Obviously, as a member of Giant Bomb, I like John Vignocchi.

This is a great idea for Disney Infinity. If they start bringing in more AAA game worlds into their Toy Box it could start swaying more hardcore gamers to buy Infinity.

Those upcoming "Song of the South" figures will fit in juuuuuust perfectly with this playset!

Is it me or does it look nothing like the Bioshock Columbia? It just looks like a generic floating city that happens to have the same name. Are you sure this is a cross-promotion? I mean, who would even benefit from a Bioshock crossover?

I've been a member since the beginning, but the number of people who are confusing this homage created in the Toybox mode of DI with something official is disturbing.

I especially loved the "I'm losing more and more respect for Irrational" and "quick cash-in" comments best.

Settle down. You'll love video games more if you don't squeeze them so tightly.

Also: Good on Johnny V for highlighting something created that stands so juxtaposed to what you would expect in DI.
