Maybe if they went for a similar structure to Neverwinter where it's very instance based. I don't know. TOR was alright but unless you WoW you can't get away with a subscription for long. Hopefully they do a decent F2P model this time. I'll give it a shot because I'll try any mmo for a week.

@shintsurugi Could be some kind of skill based system for interactions or a D20 based combat style. Who knows. DnD is so odd you could basically say anything is DnD inspired.

I WAS sorta hoping for a singleplayer game akin to The Secret World, but this could totally be cool, too.

HAHAHAHA...Who in their RIGHT MIND would give BioWare, esp that studio, another shot at ANY type of online game is beyond me.....

Well I for one love SWTOR so if this is from the same people I'll give it a shot.

Looks Sounds like it has real potential, especially if it can approximate the sort of scenario-crafting that D&D can do so well with a good DM (what I assume the "versus 1" is referring to). It's weird that they seemed to be going out of their way to make it seem like it wasn't an RPG for the initial reveal, though.

So we still have absolutely no fuckin' idea what this game is, basically? This looks to have nothing to do with DnD. So is it going to be modern day? Or is this just one of those silly "You're in the game, bro!" sort of trailers?

Aw. I thought we were going to get a cool super-hero RPG. Now I'm just deflated and not at all interested.

I have no idea what this game is supposed to be. Are you a regular dude who gets abducted out of our world to go fight using magic in a shadow realm?

I still don't know what this game is, largely due to the live action trailer that showed no gameplay footage.

Don't you get it guys, its like Dungeons and Dragons & Digimon cartoons. Kidnapped to a virtual world. Working off the hype of Sword Art Online..... Don't you BO-LIEVE?!!!.........

I like BioWare games so I am still going to be optimistic about this one. I like the concept art they are producing so far, will just want to hear how it actually plays.

I am not surprised that they announced the game, but I find it odd that they would announce this with so little to show and back it up. Oh well, maybe we'll get a trailer at the VGA's / VGX / whatever

Wonder how the 4v1 thing is going to work. I hope the 1 is more DM mode and less the monster in Evolve.

It's an online RPG which is the direction that things are moving in more and more, ie there's no reason to make these "massive" online RPGs anymore where 100s of people are all playing together at the same time in one area. They take too long to develop, are super expensive, and now days aren't worth it anymore.

Wow. So people are still doing the Inception thing for trailers. Why not just make it a zombie game as well while you're at it, if you're going for cliches.

And suddenly I'm interested again. That is if its what the trailer showed which is just The Secret World but this time we did it good.

I'm kind of over this whole "everything is online and connected" thing. I want good single player games where I don't have to interact with anyone else. This will just turn into another boring mmo with lame free to play hooks.

A couple of people already made references to the old D&D cartoon -- that is definitely what I got from watching this. I wish they had just gone ahead and made D&D: The Cartoon: The Video Game (with the actual license, I mean). Although considering how awful the movie adaptation was, maybe it's better they didn't have that association.

I don't mind the trailer, as long as the characters will be well developed and interesting. If they're nothing more than a set of stereotyped cliches with whom I'm expected to identify, then no thank you.
