A bit of an odd photo to pick for the background.

EDIT:...and now it's been appropriately flipped and cropped.

Awesome, I love Cara Ellison's work/twitter feed.

Posted by Binman88

"Cara" could almost be a nickname in itself. Means "friend" in Irish.

I wonder if Patrick knows what crumpet as a slang term means In the UK...

Was a great show, Alex ranting about the VGX was a highlight.

Also great guest.

Yikes, no! Deepest apologies--she had joked about it on Twitter but I should have done my research first. Stupid Patrick!

These guests have been great recently. Cara is the bomb.

Having not watched this yet, is "Black Flag" about the band or ACIV? This is vital to if I'll watch this.

Great choice of guests on this programme so far!

Cara really sounds like Karen Gillan.

Anyhoo, back to listening.

Cara was a good guest.

What the fuck where's Cara's pea soup?

"Bomin' the A.M. With The Wolf, Cara Ellison and eXtremer"... I like it

I'm gonna make a next-gen Oculus Rift spider horror game for you Patrick!

Patrick "tits" klepek change crumpet to "cream teas" it's not rude and will stop john walker exploding about how sexist this website is.

That's funny, because they are both known to write for Rock, Paper, Shotgun from time to time.

Patrick, when a problem comes along you must crumpet.

An IRC gal. I like her already.

I'm not sure where Cara is from, but Karen Gillan is from Inverness, like me. I always find it super weird to hear northern Scottish accents contrasted with American accents.

Never understood the fear of virtual spiders/bugs.

Now virtual sharks encountered in murky seawater, especially unrealistically massive ones, those are fucked up.

Borderlands is a lot more of an interesting universe than "zombies" so I'm not too worried about the TellTale game.

Posted by MooseyMcMan

I want to play an adventure game set in the Borderlands universe.

I think she's said in recent weeks (people have brought up the Karen Gillan thing to her on Twitter) that she's from Aberdeen.

Please have Cara "Crumpet" Ellison as a guest again on Bombin' the A.M.. She was awesome! Witty, intelligent and funny and the accent didn't hurt either!

Posted by Kazzenn

@jimipeppr: If nothing else, TellTale will go back to being more comedic and that's always good.

Great show and I really enjoyed Cara Ellison as a guest. She does great work and sounds like a really cool person to chat with.

Now a bored Ben Kuchera is going to come in here hoping to harm your career because of this

if it wasn't for the way she pronounces R's, she would totally sound American. which I'm sure is probably an insult of some variety. Sorry Cara.

Xen was fantastic, don't stop there!

The Nihilanth is one of the most interesting aspects of Half-Life, especially what his whispers suggest about the world. If the platforming is too difficult just noclip past it.

Posted by MeatSim

I thought the VGX's would have been fine if they got rid of Joel Mchale and the segments with Internet celebrities.

I dunno. I'm American (we've got all different kinds!) and I don't think she sounds like anyone I know personally. To paraphrase the words of the late and great Ryan Davis, she sounds like some "Scottish-ass Scottish"

Scoops and the Wolf and the Crumpet and that giant zit on Patrick's head. :-)

I kid because I care!

Totally. Would be cool if she made an appearance every now and then.

So sorry I missed this live. Cara Ellison is one of my favorite people writing about games next to Jenn Frank and Simon Parkin. (Ooh! Get Jenn Frank on the show!) I look forward to watching it after work. If anyone isn't doing so already, you should follow Cara on Twitter because she is pretty goddamn funny.
