Wow. I don't think I've ever seen the inside of a baseball.

Greg is a cool dude, anyone who disagrees is just mean :(

Patrick's eyes are the eyes of someone who wants to be asleep right now.

Mastodon's really rad.

Greg does the best impression of a zen master monk

Cool, can't wait to listen to this.

I like Knack so far (2-3 hours in). Its not great, but its a good enough launch game in my opinion. Reminds me a lot of the original Jak and Daxter.

Happy Mastodon B'day Alex.

BASED KASAVIN

Happy birthday Alex!

I can't wait to listen to this. Though, I think the term "inside baseball" should be abolished, for good.

32 is the new 19, Alex. Happy Birthday!

I thought he sounded sick at first but he is definitely just tired.

I feel like Greg needs more outlets to talk about this stuff. I got the feeling like he has been wanting for an outlet like this.

I'm liking Knack as well. I'm maybe 3-4 hours in. The combat is fun and growing bigger and bigger is pretty awesome. Maybe it takes a huge nose dive? I guess I haven't hit that point yet because it's great so far.

@firebirdinf: quick, someone photoshop an airbender arrow on his head

Greg makes it sound at one point like he worked on games before he joined Gamespot. Did he or was i just misinterpreting it?

i have the same shirt as Greg

No audio version @patrickklepek?

Just went up. Sorry for the lower quality audio, though, my part of the podcast didn't record.

No worries. Keep the good work Klep baby.

I enjoy these catch ups with Greg, as for predicting Alex's score of Knack I'm thinking a 2/5.

Posted by jowinstonsen

Greg Kasavin and Alex's Mastodon shirt? Can't be bad.

Posted by Ramone

Patrick looks so sleepy.

Go to bed Patrick.

Posted by NTM

OK, so how do you pronounce Greg's last name? The way Patrick said it is the way I've always said it, but I got some flak for saying Adam Sessler said it awkwardly, since he says "Kuh-save-in".

Posted by admanb

@ntm: Kuh-sah-vin is correct; kuh-save-in is not.

I like Greg Kasavin and all but to me he's not much of an entertainer or public speaker, so I don't enjoying listening to him in this forum.

Happy B, @alex

All I want is a new Elder Scrolls game so that GB can lock Greg in a room and make him play. That Skyrim one was magical.

Posted by SatelliteOfLove

Fuckin' A Greg Kasavin! Best Bombin' yet confirmed and I ain't even watched it.

Posted by Vuud

Knack is probably the launch-gameyest of launch games. Knack himself looks good, everything else is kind of meh.

Posted by MackGyver

Greg is an awesome guy. I wish he could be a regular on GB videos.

Pretty sure him and a guy or two from Supergiant worked on Command and Conquer

That was what Greg went to do after leaving Gamespot, actually.

Thank you for Bastion, Greg and Supergiant! Really looking forward to Transistor too.

man, so much fun listening to Greg Kasavin. Outside of being reminded of the glory days of gamespot, he nails really a lot more about the industry better then others.

Edited by millidooms

@patrickklepek is always so damn close to the screen. It's uncomfortable.

Edited by MrPlatitude

I was sad when Greg left GameSpot at the time, but now that I have Bastion I am happy he went into the development world instead. The world would be a worse place without Bastion.

I like what he's saying regarding game reviews. I think among the many flaws with reviews is that you can't create games that appeal to everyone. The review of the game is going to be skewed by the reviewer. Maybe the type of game just isn't his or her cup of tea. I know there are plenty of game types I just don't care for. On top of that you can have a game that scores high in terms of its mechanics and the execution thereof, but if the game is boring, the game is boring- no matter well made it is.
