If I saw this back in 1999, then maybe I would have been slightly interested.

But with today's sensibilities, this game looks like absolute shit.

Matt Hazard looked better than this... and it was parodying crap like this...

2015 you know, because, its not like they havent already had 20 years to work on it.

I'm usually willing to give things the benefit of the doubt, but yeah...I think this is the worst trailer I've ever seen.

You guys don't get it. This trailer was made on a Pentium II. 3D Realms is back, baby, and it's 1999's PC gaming world.

EDIT: No, but really, I just wish I could have another 1996-2002 in PC gaming. Seeing id purchased and 3DR dying and Tom Hall working for PlayFirst- it's just a miserable mess, and no PS4 or Transistor or Watch_Dogs can put it right again.

I am all for games starring kick-ass female cyberpunk protagonists, but everything about that looked and sounded like dogshit. I honestly don't understand what the deal is with 3D Realms. How is it that they're so oblivious to what their products sound and look like? Duke Nukem did not belong in 2011, this trailer does not belong in 2014, and the game most certainly won't belong in 2015.

I'm not opposed to nostalgia and retro game stylings, but there is very little, if anything, in the games that 3D Realms makes that stand the test of time. They need to either completely revamp the way they do things, or they need to stop making games altogether.

Or, hell, who cares? They can do whatever they want, but they need to realize that this sort of shit doesn't fly anymore, and it likely never will.

So, what horrible did we (every living being in this universe) commit that it would warrant this kind of punishment?

I'm gonna guess that this trailer originally had Duke Nukem in it but when the lawsuit with Gearbox started they turned to an intern and said "Quick get that model for the sassy female sidekick and throw it in here instead of Duke. We don't want to get sued.....again."

Pretty sure this video was meant to remain internal.....

Yeah, it does seem like Duke was supposed to be in this trailer. Then it would have been called "oldschool", etc.

The problem with Bombshell is, among other things, that she has the generic face of a 15$ character model. The arm itself is the best part of the model, pretty good design. I think Bombshell was somehow a part of the original Duke Nukem universe, but I can remember how and when she came into play.

Making this trailer for an isometric shooter that actually looks okay (on screenshots) is a decision that puzzles me. It's a lot of work and doesn't say anything about the character. This seems like a really superfluous video for a completely different looking game.

Sometimes I think they make these kinda games just so Patrick has material for his articles about sexism in vid games.

woah. aside from not showing anything for context besides slow panning shots of a character model with some explosions, those slow panning shots of a blank faced character model with blurred out explosions looked really bad.

This "trailer" on the other hand... english is not my native language and I just don't know any words that would be insulting enough for what I just saw.

Chick with mohawk, cybernetic arm, and little clothing? Check.

Booze and ashtray implying smokes? Check.

Sawed-off to get you hard-off? Check.

Bad ass motorcycle? Check.

Explosions in the distance? Check.

Cheesy ass metal music? Check.

Attitude and a smart mouth? Check.

This is literally everything my 14-year-old self wanted in a video game. To find out that it's a dual-joystick isometric shooter makes that even better.

What the fuck did I just witness?

This has got to be the worst teaser trailer I've seen in ten years. No exaggeration.

Everything played out so slowly. Felt uncannily similar to the time-slowdown effect you get with you smoke too much green plant.

The entire time I was watching this I could feel the Internets collective eye roll. Also that tagline "prepare your face." What. The. Fuck.

All I could think about while watching this was how hilarious it would be if she opened her mouth and Jon St. John's Duke Nukem voice came out of it.

Graphics look fine for a top down action RPG.

Coming from the Transistor and Wolfenstein trailers to this makes me want to puke...

I know it's silly but I just kept wondering how the weight of the metal arm was supported by her musculature and skeletal frame. It's only attached at the shoulder and it looks like it's 150lbs+ of steel, motors, actuators.

but then I saw that glorious glass ash tray and realized maybe I was nitpicking.

Judging from the trailer, they may be setting the target too high for themselves.

I think calling this rough would be an understatement
