Looks good though not too thrilled with the first or last choices on the characters presented. Might play better but after playing tons of one with the siren & soldier I might be too attached to those character types (or closest to them) for this sequel.

I hope they can iron out the framrerate issues, looks like even more crazy shit popping off on this one.

"Epic campaign" is what I like to hear. Borderlands failed for me a bit as a solo player, just b/c the loot drops sucked at higher levels, to the point where I was literally throwing 99 out of 100 guns. Keep up that loot drip freed and offer a more lively overworld, and i'm all over this.

This franchise has a ridiculously consistent track record for kickass trailers. I still rewatch that original Borderlands trailer from time to time.

I promised myself I wouldn't get psyched for this game. Damn you, Gearbox!

No one with better things to do really cares what your pretentious subclassifications are of "that wubby music". That said, this is probably the best implementation of it I've seen. That AC:Revelations trailer with that wubby dubstep 'whatever-you-fucking-call-it' was so damn out of place.

i don't know if i can handle having a primary antagonist in a Borderlands game... unless Handsome Jack is code for Tentacle Beast

Yeah that is pretty sad. A lot of awesome drum n' bass has for the last year been confused for dubstep.

Either way, I like both genres, but the misinformation is a bummer!

It seems like I'm the only person that didn't like Borderlands at all. Didn't really get addicted to the RPG elements and the guns stuff, because the story and missions were so boring. I guess it's because I hate most games that rely on MMO mission structures instead of actually trying to convey a mission without a character standing there while you press okay on a screen with a bunch of text. I hope Borderlands 2 is better, but I don't see any big changes except different environments. Still not sold on this game, when I think I should. Everyone else likes it or at least from what I've seen from different comments sections. Hope someone else can relate to me with this.

People need to realize that everything that goes "wub wub" is dubstep now. It doesn't get "mistaken" for dubstep; usage creates meaning in language, and that's what that word means for 90% of people now.

It means "wub wub."

But, uhh, aside from that, I am excited for Borderlands 2 and its endearingly goofy, kitchen-sink approach to both trailer and game design. Billionty.

I read a youtube comment the other night where some asshole was calling the Stones' Paint it Black "the original dubstep". This is how far this trainwreck has been allowed to go on, and I know it's cool to watch wrecks in slow motion, but at some point you're going to have to start considering the injured.

They've been pretty clear that they aren't going to muck up what they had going. There will be more story and it'll be more involved, but it'll be as optional as it was in the original. If you want I'm sure you'll be able to hammer the "take quests" button and then book it to shoot shit.

I won't mind a bit more story and personality though, all of the dialogue and story bits in Borderlands were generally really excellently executed, despite having a pretty all over the place plot and a shit ending.

Dubstep isn't supposed to be music to the trained ear, it's to move and groove to, nothing more. Anything you're supposed to dance in a club to is going to be pretty shitty musically speaking, but that doesn't mean it has no value.

It's being overused by the industry of late (Far Cry 3 is actually going to have dubstep (and really shitty lazy dubstep) in the game itself, if things don't change) but Borderlands fits it, and half of Borderlands marketing is laughing at the stupid shit the industry does to get people to pay attention. Including wub wub wub.

Also, who gives a flying fuck, it fits the trailer and the game, both of which are dumb and genius and just about fuckin fun. It's not art, it's a fun ass video game with a fun ass sense of humor. And that means dumb silly music.

Yes - much to the apparent chagrin of annoying dubstep purists - Doomsday is a dubstep track of theirs that just happens to feature an almost house-style 4-step beat and tempo for about the first half of the song.

However, it is far from anything you could consider "brostep."

It is fairly simple and clean (for an original dubstep track these days). Brostep is generally what annoying dubstep purists call vastly overdone, effect and sample-heavy, and sort of spastic-sounding dubstep. Indeed, like much of Skrillex's music.

Not just everything "mainstream." Not just everything with guitar samples or synth guitar hits. Not just everything that deviates from a standard dubstep beat/tempo for a portion of the song.

It'd be less annoying if all those purists throwing the term brostep around actually knew what it meant/where it came from. Unfortunately it seems most don't. Sort of like people that constantly refer to "trolling." Which you must be doing with such a ridiculous comment.
