This is mostly electro, not very dubstep other than the drop at the end.

Yeah, pretty much my feelings exactly.

Nope, it's dubstep. It's from a well known dubstep band, who are from the UK where the genre originated.

This game had me sold on how good the first one was, but all that aside, Gearbox really knows how to make themselves a trailer.

The only "dubstep" part in this trailer was the last 30 seconds... and that wasn't even dubstep, it was brostep... aka "Skrillstep" as most American noobs know it.

Dubstep elitists are hilarious to watch.

It's like they custom made this for Giant Bomb.

I cannot wait for this.

Those guns look way cooler than the guns in Borderlands. Hopefully the repeaters, pistols and revolvers aren't as useless as they were in the first game. The wide gun selection was awesome, but mostly were good for just to look at and not of any actual use. I got most of my use out of shotguns, submachine guns and rifles.

Has is been confirmed or denied that there will be some customization in this game? I remember it being mentioned at some point, but only in terms of light customization.

Reinstalling Borderlands 1 right now. Goddamn this looks good.

New sexy lady and ninja man. I'm sold.

@nERVEcenter:

you have to listen to boopetybop (is that what i called it earlier?). it is a testament to musical evolution. it's in fact a revolution. never in my life have i heard such joyous ebullience. imagine gangster rap, gospel, soft rock, hard rock, half-mast rock, and elements of country house mixed into early renaissance classical. never mind. your american ears can't enjoy such music.

i'm going to ignore the use of "And" at the beginning of a paragraph (not just a sentence, but a paragraph). i'm even going to ignore the comma splice. i like to not capitalize. it makes me feel like i'm more intimately communicating with a reader. like how whispering forces the listener to step just a little closer (if you imagine capital letters as a yell, then lower case is a gentle whisper). can you smell my onion breath? the onion breath. onion.

Would anyone else pay for a mini claptrap that played dubstep and did the robot?

I want it in my face. All up in my face.

Trailer of the year.

Nero + Borderlands = mad love.

Posted by Mr_JPeps

i'm not usually one for trailer hype, but HOLY SHIT THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!

Posted by ZeroGravX

I certainly can't wait!

Posted by Xiemos2

By far the best trailer for a video game I have ever seen.

Posted by bybeach

I very honestly have trouble understanding why dubstep is such a thing beyond an effect..cool but hey. But I am warming up to things electro and such..it has it's place in a psy sort of way. Then other of it seems pop junk. But I am not the target age group.

As for Borderlands 2, love the art style..hope once again you can SP it. Otherwise..i don't know....

Posted by Terjay

I thought it would be out earlier... I'll still preorder it.

Posted by Thompson820

A trailer that makes fun of dubstep and the game it's promoting? Best trailer ever.

Posted by Oddoboy

This is by far the best VG trailer I've ever seen!

I LOVED how the video and dubstep music sync'd to create the perfect Borderlands Vibe.

I recommend watching it for the first time intoxicated... So sick!!!

Posted by zFUBARz

Claptrap could have done a better robot, I'm just gonna put that out there.

Posted by MiniPato

Eh, that trailer was kinda alright.

Posted by The_Reflection

I lub wub wub

Posted by Zaccheus

This was dumb in just the right way.

Posted by icemk

Trailer is awesome! It nailed what I loved about the first one and jacked it up a notch by bazillion.

Can't wait!

Posted by Osaladin

Mordecai is a ninja now? Fuck yes.

Posted by AkIRA_22

@Riboflavin: I was racking my brain the whole time, it's certainly blurred the line. Clap trap actually says "Wub, Wub" just before the Dub Step bit... hilarious.

At first I was like, "ok another dubstep trailer...", but then I was like "FUCK YEAH!"

New Claptrap line: "nnnnts nnnnnnts WUB WUB WUB"

Posted by Imptastic

"Trust me I'm an ad-man" also, needs more Wub Wub!

I want gearbox to be my bro

Posted by fitzcarraldo

that's a pretty damn good trailer

Posted by sihingmarcel

So they made this trailer for a target audience of... Jeff? Don't worry Gearbox, I think he's already in.

Posted by TobbRobb

This trailer was way too awesome, :D

Edited by spazmaster666

Is that Laura Bailey I hear? It certainly sounds like her. Anyway, I can't wait for this game. I played the absolute shit out of Borderlands (even that damned Mad Moxxi DLC) and everything about this trailer let's me know that I'm probably going to be playing the shit out of Borderlands 2 as well.

Posted by fuzzy510

I think that pre-ordering games seven months before they're released is a generally ridiculous idea.

I'm thisclose to pre-ordering Borderlands 2 seven months before its release.

Posted by gesi1223

This trailer hasn't grabbed me in the slightest. Borderlands 1 was fun for a little while, but this trailer isn't showing me anything really new or cool enough to warrant buying the sequel.

Posted by Davin

So it's just more Borderlands. Cool, I'm down with that.

I also have to say that was an awesome trailer, totally gets me in the mood for more borderlands love.

Alright trailer, but i dont really want more guns, i spent most of the time in the 1st one selling guns. The more skills and split-screen sounds good though. Curious how the story is going to go, cause we already know whats in the vault. Also what was with cgi lady right at the end, seems a bit strange while the rest of the trailer was the cell shading

I kinda thought the same, but I'm hoping he makes up for it in the game but actually making dubstep noises in between talking.

Zero aka Gray Fox, looked badass. Also liked the beard of Salvatore. Beyond that, looked great and I'm sure I'll dive into this with someone.

They used FMV in the first Borderlands as well, the chick that talks to you throughout the game via the visions and communication thing is a real person. I've got no idea who this person at the end of the trailer is exactly, but I'm sure shes somehow related.

My money says she'll be the one guiding you to whatever your objective in the game is, and is related to the first chick in some way. I'm not sure what the timeline is on this game.

All it needs now is a mash-up.

BTW guys, this isn't dubstep, it's brostep, or some wierd clusterfuck mess of a subgenre.

Ha, too true. This is starting to go too far.

Posted by Capstan

The visual style of this franchise blasts my drab-weary eyes with a firehose full of awesome. It's like the second coming of Johnny Quest. Also, kickin' dubba-dubba.

A well made trailer, but I have to post this:

That's a real woman, yo.

http://www.g4tv.com/videos/56944/borderlands-2-lilith-reveal/

The voice sounds like Jennifer Greene, who did the voice of the Guardian Angel in the first game.

EDIT: By the way, who gives a shit what kind of stupid electronic music it is?! It's all stupid! That's why they put it in the trailer! That's why Jeff is always talking about it!
