@1:05... Dat Shirt!

Borderlands 1.5?

Posted by AlexanderSheen

Air as resource? I don't like the sound of that at all.

Aliens: Colonial Marines.....

Posted by nick_verissimo

I'll play it! Just hope it's not 60 price!

Posted by SlashDance

Morderlands.

I'm here all week.

Posted by asantosbr

Looks more like a glorified DLC.

Posted by ExiledVip3r

In other words: They didn't have enough money/hype to make the game they set up for Borderlands 3 to become.

"Borderlands the Pre-Sequel is about Handsome Jack's rise to power..." *Pauses trailer* NOPE.

My only meager hope is that the Telltale game has no mention or recognition of Handsome Jack in it whatsoever. And if it doesn't then I might be interested in that. Boy did Borderlands 2 ruin me on this franchise completely.

Borderlands 2.5 :)

Looks like Randy has lost some weight. That shirt looks fucking stupid though.

Edited by ep_driver

Glorified DLC it is, doesn't sounds like there's much new going on here. That being said, it is B-Lands, so I'll take more of it!

Posted by Rotnac

I fully expect to be completely unable to climb stairs when playing as Claptrap, just sayin. If this is not the case, then what the crap are they doing? I am excited though that Athena hasn't been completely forgotten.

Also, no playable Angel?

Posted by Dberg

Talking Trailer. Guess those didn't die with THQ. Game looks fun though.

Posted by Wraxend

Loved the first Borderlands and played all its dlc but the second one just never grabbed me even after I completed it, so I think I'll give this one a miss.

Cash-in.

Sounds like Al Gore will be the final boss.

Either that or Randy Pitchford's shirt.

Posted by BeachThunder

I loved the original. I liked the second game. But, I just can't care anymore.

I still want the Telltale game though.

Yeah...Not buying a new FPS on PS3. PS4 or bust.

Posted by StrainedEyes

Sorry, Australian Guy, we only have one good mic.

Posted by PurplePartyRobot

No thanks, I've had my fill of Borderlands.

Posted by The_Nubster

it's mind-blowing how little I care for this. Borderlands 2 was decent mindless fun, but their story was a hot pile of garbage and their characters were jokes. Any Borderlands game that's focusing on a certain character or event isn't interesting to me, unless they hire a real-ass writer, not a Youtube comedian.

Give me morederlands.

Gearbox is probably still making Borderlands 3. This is a different team on a different continent. It's probably more the opposite and that Borderlands is even more popular and makes more money than they knew what to do with. I'm not a Borderlands fan but I think that franchise sells super well. 2K Australia, Tell Tale, and probably Gearbox are all making Borderlands games.

Edited by Roboculus92

How come it's not coming to PS4/Xbone? I mean they're already doing a PC version so would it really have taken that much work (I'm generally curious because I have no idea)? Right now this game is reminding me a lot of the feelings I had regarding GOW Judgement/GOW Ascension and I'm not sure I like it but who knows...maybe it ends up being the best Borderlands game.

Posted by ADAMWD

Can't say I'm too excited about another Borderlands game, but I'll wait until we see if and how they're mixing up the basic BL formula until I pass judgment.

Posted by kayeyeeff

It's the Saint's Row IV of Borderlands (For the record I'm OK with this).

Randy Pitchford dresses like a used car salesman

Meanwhile, Gearbox is working on the official sequel. Right guys? RIGHT?!?!?

"Borderlands the Pre-Sequel is about Handsome Jack's rise to power..." *Pauses trailer* NOPE.

Seriously.

Posted by BrianP

Randy, whats up with that haggard ass shirt?

Edited by JuggaloAcidman

It looks good but... I really don't want to work for Handsome Jack!

Posted by Pop

What's up with Pitchford's shirt?

Is it mating season? Is he trying to attract a mate?

Edited by Veektarius

Later in 2014? You mean, after Destiny has come out? Hell of a gamble to take.

Posted by thatdutchguy

No thank you.

Edited by Snail

So it's like the Arkham Origins of Borderlands?

I'll take more Borderlands any day I suppose.

Edited by Archer88

Wow, so much hate for Borderlands in here. Yeesh!

I enjoyed both games and can't wait for new classes, new mechanics and a new story. Not getting the Handsome Jack hate either. Is it just because the Giantbomb crew wasn't big on BL2? Jack was a fine villain with some great lines, so I have no issue with seeing more of him.

That shirt is something else.

Posted by Ghostiet

I believe it's called "interquel". Fucking scrubs.

Posted by Voidoid

Betweequel.

Posted by el_tajij

It's funny how Randy Pitchford now dresses like a rockstar now in comparison to seeing him in older interviews and stuff. Nothing against the guy, I think he's great but it's interesting to note the change in his public appearance.

Looks like BL2 DLC, but with not-fun mechanics like managing oxygen. I love Borderlands, but unless this is a budget title, it's not what I'm looking for.

I'm all for a proper sequel to Borderlands 2, but this seems uninteresting. The Handsome Jack story is closed. I don't really care how he came into power in a prequel. This feels like a cash grab.

Please be good, PLEASE be good!

Speaking for myself I gave the game an honest shot and I found I really liked the gameplay and the banter between the BL1 cast but Handsome Jack was the most aggressively frustrating and annoying character to deal with say nothing of the plot they wrote around him. I went back to the quick look and they're slightly negative on Handsome Jack but don't spend much time on him. So for me, my hatred of Handsome Jack comes largely from my own heart.

I've had discussions with friends and it's kinda all over the place with that character, some didn't care, others liked him, I thought he was outright terrible and brought down the game for me. Still though I held out Borderlands as an open question but so far there's no indication they'll be abandoning the character that represents everything I didn't like about Borderlands 2.

Edited by gbrading

Frankly "Morderlands" would have been easier on the tongue.

I really like Borderlands as a game to just sit back and shoot stuff in, so when this goes on Steam Sale, sure, I'll give it a go. No reason to pay launch day prices though.

Edited by Sooty

I really don't get how this mundane series is so popular. The enemies are nothing but bullet sponges and the combat has the depth of a puddle, press left trigger and hold down the right, sometimes use one class power. Fun!

Pass.

luigi style hat on clap trap, sounds good to me

Edited by ELincoln

Looks cool, sucks that it's last gen only though. Gonna have to either renew my Live subscription or play an FPS with the PS3 controller. Don't really love the idea of either
