And, as for my second comment I was simply saying that I always see you defend GB a bit over zealously.

I don't like getting into internet battles and just thought you were being a little mean, that's all.

I see nothing over zealous about anything I have "defended" GB on. I'm sure it's come off as mean, but in equal parts the things I am replying to come across as childish, or just plain ignorant.

I've had the same thing happen to me too, so don't sweat it Brad! :)

Looks like Brad needs a Lapel Mic with a wireless transmitter to send the audio back to the Mixer Board. Downside is the investment in rechargeable batteries.

If you are ever looking to open something that has a bit you don't have you can always try taking a lighter to the back of a bic pen until it gets soft the cram it into the thing and let it dry.. Once it's hard you can unscrew it. This has aloud me to open and rebattery many original gb games.

I did the same thing yesterday with my headphone cord getting caught. Somehow the headphones stayed in my ears, but the cord ripped right out of the plug instead of the plug coming out of the computer. Never feel stupider when you have to rebuy something expensive and new that you stupidly broke.

Man, I've done that exact same thing with headphones on a number of occasions.

The added effect being that with headphones you almost break your neck as your head is dragged violently down at the same time, before the headphones come crashing to the ground with a wallet-busting thud.

I do that same thing while wearing my Turtle Beach headset. It's super annoying.

If you do splice the cable and the 3 wires inside, you should be aware that the ground wiring is often a bunch of loose wires that look like bare copper, but they're actually insulated by a thin layer of plastic. You should burn the plastic off with a lighter before you splice that part. It's mentioned in this tutorial:

I've never seen that part you're trying to reconnect the audio cable to.

People have been saying this lately, but meh. They're working so it's not like they're waiting for Jeff to notice them. Wha'ts weird is the gamespot guys have done more features with comicvine than giantbomb. There was the comics based on video games article and the Dark Knight Rises podcast. Would have been nice to have had either Tony or Sara on when they were playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance on TNT a few weeks ago. Ryan knows a bit about comics but they other guys were pretty clueless.
