I'd like to see them finish this, considering now they're really close to the end. Which is one of the best parts of the game.

True. I wasn't bagging on Modern Warfare. I enjoy both kinds. There's definitely room for both.

I come here for entertainment the likes of which can't be found anywhere else. The Whiskey Media crew are a good bunch of guys who are still trying to figure out the best way to deliver content to us.

Yes the quality of entertainment does slide from excellent from time to time, but if you think you can start a site with constant Oscar caliber content 24/7, go give it a shot. I'll wait here.

Keep these types of videos coming! This is why I'm a Giant Bomb subscriber! I really enjoy this type of video the most!

Kind of bored of seeing Brad break in old Xbox/360 games when there are at least two other acceptable platforms, namely the PS3 and PC, that also have achievements in them. Hell, there's even the Wii if you don't like achievements, and it has its fair share of really difficult games.

But I guess no other platform was created for achievement whoring than the Xbox 360 so oh well. Thank god for Dave, Vinny and Drew, saviors of the PC. :'(

It was nice to see some of The Darkness again, the game has not aged too well though.

I love Giant Bomb but I hate Giant Bomb fans.

This game does have some of the best load screens I have seen even if they get repetitive.

People don't complain anywhere near as much when the crew just plays badly. Sure, enough people are pretty damned vocal about it when the vast majority couldn't care less.

The problem is when you go into a game wilfully ignorant and then either talk shit about the game as it's the game's fault that you didn't bother to look up basic mechanics or were dicking around too much to see the on-screen text telling you exactly what to do/where to go.

The former can be amusing. The latter is just so f*cking frustrating to watch for a lot of people on this site.

Really dislike Ryan/Jeff's attitude towards criticism like this also. They enjoy troll-ing the chat and are happy to let us know that. Which is fine, it's their site. But it makes me thoroughly uninterested in watching stuff like this.

I don't mind people not knowing the minutia behind a game, but ignoring basic mechanics makes these videos un-watchable. Since when was it OK to be proud of your ignorance? They get way more shit for this than is probably fair but, come on, we come to this site for informed game discussion and the occasional buffoonery, but certainly more so for the former.

I mean, when more than half the comments are people COMPLAINING about the content of the video, you're clearly fucking up.

You can be crap (and learn to be good) while still having an immense amount of fun and hilarity in doing so. This was just frustration at not only Brad not being helped, but also not necessarily taking the games hints/help into consideration as well.

Yeah, that's why he played 4 hours of Modern Warfare and now 2 hours of this...

He is just not as energetic as Vinny is, but that is just his personality and not fault of his.

The only problem with Brad seems to be that he likes to play very meticulously when he plays on his own, but wants to show stuff in videos so people don't get bored with him scouting every small area for collectibles, and that's why he seems to die a lot because he rushes into encounters.

Some day they should just secretly record him and show that material (possibly with some VO MST3000 style), I wonder what that would be like.

I have to agree with some of the guys on this video. The talking over all the story beats is kind of a bummer. Usually they try to quiet down in their videos when the important story stuff is being said. They seemed very disinterested in the game. I enjoy when Vinny is playing, it's always entertaining and he gets help when he gets stuck.

I think the Shadow of the Colossus QL displays Brad's deft touch with video games.

For the record, I don't think this is true. Just because Modern Warfare is popular doesn't mean that all shooters out there are just like Modern Warfare. Some things in their model have stuck, others haven't. The trick here is that people have come to think that "FPS" only means "action FPS in the vein of Call of Duty". When something like Bioshock or Dead Island comes around, people now call them "RPGs", which is kinda ridiculous, really.

Also, I'm pretty sure the guy's reactions were more of a product of a Friday afternoon than of any influence of games on them. They just didn't care about the game at all, which made for a rather boring video. If your take on this was correct, then we'd have to give it to all the researchers who say that games make you violent. After all, if five years of Call of Duty could turn you into an ADD-ridden goldfish, I'm pretty sure it could also make you stab your landlord in the eye.

My comment was about the Increase in handholding and "streamlining" of story segments. This is a trend in gaming overall and not just Call of Duty. Metro is a perfect example of the opposite. Of course games like this still exist. But I was talking about the general audience (read: "the masses"). These People would have a real tough time with a game like Metro, since they seem to be unable to handle just a few minutes of downtime/ slower paced story.

Its hard to watch when brad plays because hes soooo bad.

It's really painful to watch Brad play games sometimes, "what a weird game" is a stand in for "this game is giving me exactly where to go at all times". Maybe he's just antsy because he's on camera.

Also I loved how deflated Patrick was after "Stop with the fucking Klingon shit already"

They should come back to this. I mean, they are already at the end of the game, so why not?

There is a pretty big difference between not playing a game well and playing to that, and having no idea how to play a game and not bothering to find out.

Notice how Brad is bad at videogames (when being recorded) and it's nothing. Notice how Patrick is annoying (when being recorded) and you've crossed the line.
