This video really made me appreciate how good The Darkness 2 is. This game was amazing at the time though.

Oh god. That thing right there embodies everything that is wrong with audiences these days:

"I want to finish this story, so let´s jump around and talk over a story moment. Why can´t I go on? Maybe I just have to listen to the guy. Can somebody explain what´s going on, I´ve been busy jumping around not paying attention. Hey, why don´t we jump into that hole and do the whole thing over, because we don´t like to pay attention."

You remember how games used to be about paying some fucking attention? Well, I guess the times have changed.

This quickly became a Breaking Brad, which was funny and infuriating in spots, I don't think I've ever seen the chat "yell" so loud at Brad, not realizing having The Darkness out gives him more damage resistance etc.

I was hoping this was another Breaking Brad. Certainly turned into one.

Guys, I get that wild digressions are part of the fun of the site, but at least some interest in the game at hand goes a long way to make me stick with these, especially if the guy controlling the game is going to be mostly silent while he tries several wrong ideas.

And seriously, that Klingon horror movie idea is way less witty than you thought at the time. No offense.

Although, the video is very appropriate. I was thinking of getting Darkness 2 soon and I was trying to make my way through The Darkness... seeing how much FPSs as a whole have changed mechanically was interesting, but making my way through the whole thing with the slightly outdated controls felt like too much of a commitment to catch up with a game I'm only marginally interested in. So there's that.

Glad I'm not the only one who's still hoping for Black Mesa Source. Even if at this point the HL2 engine is older than the HL1 engine was when they began the project to make HL1 with HL2 graphics.

I understand you want to play through the game fast, but don't criticise it for not hand holding you and leading you to the right direction. When you jump into a game like that you're not going to remember the areas as when starting the game from scratch.

Nothing has changed really. Even at it's release the game felt a little bit "loose" compared to other shooters but you'd get used to it and then it felt perfectly fine.

I'd recommend turning off the autoaim though, the controls and aiming are way less confusing without it.

Think the title for this should've been "Random Breaking Brad Loads His Last Save."

Pretty much this, granted brad hadn't played the game in a long time so I can't be angry over the fact that he didn't remember how to play the game at all or what to do, but patrick just finished this game a couple months ago and he was less help than dave.

Dave was just as much of an offender. Talking over the boss fight about that "Klingon shit" was a bit much.

So..Patrick just finished the game and he doesn't remember how to beat the boss...riiight...

Hey, Patrick! Dave! You know those annoying guys who talk over a movie about something that has absolutely nothing to do with the movie? That's you guys in this video. Normally I wouldn't care. Happens all the time in the Endurance Runs, after all. But when you do it over every significant story event in the game then it might as well not be there and you can make a video called 'Our Klingon Horror Movie Concept' instead.  Then again, who'd want to watch that?

Which is why I can't watch more than 20 minutes of these videos. Really dislike Ryan/Jeff's attitude towards criticism like this also. They enjoy troll-ing the chat and are happy to let us know that. Which is fine, it's their site. But it makes me thoroughly uninterested in watching stuff like this.

I don't mind people not knowing the minutia behind a game, but ignoring basic mechanics makes these videos un-watchable. Since when was it OK to be proud of your ignorance? They get way more shit for this than is probably fair but, come on, we come to this site for informed game discussion and the occasional buffoonery, but certainly more so for the former.

I mean, when more than half the comments are people COMPLAINING about the content of the video, you're clearly fucking up.

I'm kinda glad I missed this. What a great thing to come home to with a few hours of downtime!

The short with Stephen King was in Creepshow and not Creepshow 2 which was a awful, terrible,terrible movie. I walked out on it and successfully got my $6.50 back. To put that in perspective know that I sat through Evan Almighty in it's entirety.
