Burnout CRASH! Wants You to Crash, Slam and Burn

Hope this turns out awesome.

Looks like such an awesome puzzle game.

Commence whining.

This game really needs this song to play every single time you crash.

I want to be excited for this game but I just can't. It seems like a small side game that would be put out to get people hyped for the big retail release that comes out a week later or something. Except there isn't one : /

If it's ten dollars, I'll think about it. If it's fifteen, no way. Man, I buy so many fewer downloadable games now that $15 is the norm. It sucks.

Where the hell are the lobster monsters?! This is an unacceptable trailer.

I've been interested in this game since the beginning, but man, they are doing everything they can to disinterest me with that TERRIBLE trailer.

@ahgunsillyo: Funny thing is, I put that song on my 360 right when Burnout Revenge came out, so I could listen to it while playing the crash levels... so I totally agree with you.

We had this old C64 game in Finland called Liikennepeli (traffic game). This trailer reminded me of that for some reason.

...which is to say: where's the "crazy shennanigans" (such as monsters) they originally talked about in the press release?

It look kinda fun but you can download the old GTAs for free now, so why bother.

This game needs AC/DC 'TNT' in it's soundtrack!

I'm sorry but this looks nowhere near as exciting as crash mode in previous burnout games. The old games had an amazing sense of speed and, more importantly, weight. With this new game, the perspective and art style mitigates all that. It looks like toy cars to me.

So far I'm not sold. I remember one of my favorite Crash mode intersections was the one in Burnout 3, where you had a long straightaway, and then got to T-bone a bus, and watch the in suing chaos. I never got tired of that up close visceral experience. This top down view doesn't seem to have an raw visceral punch to it.

like fine, I am not sure how long I would want to play it.

My thoughts exactly. While the idea sounds cool in a micro machines kind of way, the trailers so far don't have that same cringe inducing impact to them that the first games had. I really hope they prove me wrong because I've been waiting for a downloadable burnout for years.

There is a button next to the playing next called auto, click it to deselect autoplay.

When I said I wanted Crash Mode back, this isn't  what I meant. Congratulations, Criterion Games... you've actually managed to make the new Ridge Racer game look more appealing to me.

This video changed my mind about this game, I will probably be buying it now.

This looks entertaining for 15 minutes.

The original idea behind CRASH kept me entertained for HOURS each time.

Give this crap to the iPad and give console owners something that really represents BurnOut Arcade Edition

I really, really, really do not like isometric camera angles, especially in driving games.
 
That shit should've died with the SNES, or at the very least, the PS1.

Yeah... I freakin' loved the Crash mode in previous Burnout games, this however looks extremely boring/bland.

My favorite part about Burnout games.

Needs more Jelly Car-esque sound effects.

Crash mode and Burnout games in general work because the crashes both look and sound satisfying. The designers here completely missed that point. It may be a fun "puzzle" game, but it looks completely bland and boring.

'Get ready to crash'. Seriously? 'Brace Yourself To Crash' works much better in every sense. Aside from that; Burnout remains one of my most favourite series ever, why are they sullying it with this garbage?
