When will these cliche Hollywood trailers just roll over and die?

I don't see how the worlds of House of Cards and Call of Duty intersect very well. It just looks like a strange digital version of Frank Underwood in a more technocratic office talking dramatically about democracy and foreign policy spliced with footage where a bunch of cybernetic soldiers make shit explode in the future.

I guess this is the start of their pitch to merge these worlds, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Kevin Spacey is just here to polish the shit that Call of Duty has become.

Fun Fact: In House of Cards, his persona enjoys playing first-person shooters in his leisure.

Did I miss something? We now have a three year dev cycle for COD? An extra twelve months to make sure it looks and plays just like the one before it.

What other games is the Golden Gate Bridge destroyed in? Defiance and Fracture? I can't think of many, but Alex seems to think it happens pretty often.

I think Call of Duty is starting to get a bit desperate with their shitty Kevin Spacey "PLEASE BUY THIS REMEMBER HOUSE OF CARDS?" ploy. It sounds like a shitty cash-in. But who knows? Maybe they'll do heavily political future warfare games from now on? It could be interesting.

I might be able to get back into COD if they keep going down the futuristic scifi road. I will check back in a couple years.

Yeah, after watching Patrick & Alex talk about this before I got a chance to see it first. It's extremely noticeable because I was watching for it. Some of it looks passable. However, with one scene in particular when he slams his hands down on the table, yelling in disgust (and posing a rhetorical question) about democracy. There's basically ZERO upper facial animation that even comes remotely close to relaying that emotion. I'm no expert in animation, or even what's involved, but come on. Even I know how facial muscles work, and react.

I'm a huge Spacey fan, and I really do hope they polish at least some of that up.

I'm not even remotely interested in CoD anymore, but I will play this one just for Kevin Spacey alone.

It probably won't play that different from MW2 or BOPS. It sucks because the story looks like silly fun, but overall it seems like a cosmetic upgrade.

sure, i'll play call of duty if it's got kevin spacey in it. not a huge fan of the franchise, but if they're going to add a compelling narrative to the admittedly solid mechanics i'll bite.

I'm going to play this with the mindset that Frank Underwood became immortal and rules the United States.

Jokes aside, I am really excited Sledgehammer decided to go where Treyarch went with Black Ops II; futuristic stuff with sweet sweet tech. Glad to see that Sledgehammer knows who to take their cues from. I wonder what their "third gamemode" will be, since Zombies and Aliens are taken.

What about robots? Maybe Titans for a good laugh.
