Call of Duty: Black Ops II's Villain Looks Like the Most Interesting Man In the World

TRENT!!!! I'm buying the soundtrack. So the COD franchise will finally get some money from me. :)

Why does the framerate for Call of Duty trailers and Rockstar trailers always look sped up and horrible? The games always look so much better when playing than their trailers.

Still havent shown any horse back riding.

How can they wake up in the morning if they've been wiped out????

The engine has improved. Notice the focus on in game people talking. It seems like the devs payed extra attention on working on voice animations. Other than that I'm actually excited for Black Ops 2. I really enjoyed Blops more than most people and played the multiplayer extensively. I loved the time period(Cold War) and really enjoyed how crazy the story got. It wasn't perfect, but it was a fun mindless shooter with a fun story. Hopefully I'll like Blops 2 as much if not more.

Wow. Trent Reznor, really? Call of Duty doesn't really seem like the type of game he would be into.

@Scratch: Kind of ironic when you realize the trailer itself shows the Youtube site, isn't it?

Perhaps it's all part of a bigger plan (but more probably it's just a fail on their side...)

They're using David S. Goyer as a selling point? Even though his influence is the WORST part of the Batman movies?

I know that graphics are not everything - but that thing there does not look any bit better than [insert generic shooter anno 09/10]...

Also - having USA Today and Forbes quotes is a bit like using quotes from Vogue on the latest in-depth article about the Joint Strike Fighter.

Just by the music and who's helping with the story makes me excited for it, which I guess is their intention.

Calling it the most ambitious Call of Duty doesn't mean much.....

I don't know what it really is, but Treyarch's COD games always look like they're running at 240kHz. Bizarrely smooth. They need to put motion blur back in.

Honestly if it's not just some crazy Michael Bay wet-dream,and actually builds characters and tension reasonably well,it'll be an improvement.Still,can't help but think that Tony Todd drank some water from the set of Prometheus...

It makes primitive low-end cinematics look horrible. It's a CoD game. It's not like they're graphically high-end, even for the consoles. That said, it kind of looked like a UE3 game where the last pass hadn't loaded in yet. Extremely simple geometry, low definition textures and stiff facial work (HL2 looked Oscar worthy compared to this).

Doesn't their fluff videos usually get more make-up than this?

I wonder how long David Goyer is going to be able to ride on his involvement in the Dark Knight before people realize it's the only decent thing he has been involved in.

The antagonist of this game is a figurehead of the OWS movement. Because the one thing that the Call of Duty franchise was missing, it was a goofy and archaic perspective of American patriotism.

grudgingly have to admit my interest is piqued, esp. with trent reznor/david s goyer involvement. i guess the cynic could say they throw enough money around they can get whatever big name they want, but it seems Trent is genuinely interested, and Treyarch is trying to do something fresh at any rate.

i'll at least try to not pay full price for it.

You know what, I agree with the people who say the future tech designs look super generic and pretty poor.  
 
That said, make Call of Duty more interesting and it might of consideration.

Trent Reznor is the best piece of news concerning BO2 so far. I'll miss Sean Murray though.
