Call of Duty: Black Ops Reveal Trailer

That trailer didn't really show much. I saw some Vietnam, some Cold War, and apparently something in the future. A supersoldier who has been fighting for the past 40 years? I always knew Bruce Willis wasn't just an actor...

Looks like another generic shooter.

If they bring in vehicles that work well, count me in. 

Aww, and I was looking forward to another WW2 game... ;)

It's hilarious how everybody shits all over Treyarch, when the fact still remains that World at War is a better made game then MW2.

Yup..this game we have seen no gameplay of looks like a generic shooter. Amazing guys....

From CoD: 3 to World at War there has been a notable rise in the quality of Treyarch's work. Here's hoping this game turns out to be good.

Call of Duty in the Animus. I'm calling it.

I watched the trailer, and I've got no idea what the game is about. I wish they had released a few sentences along with the trailer telling us when the game takes place and what it's about.

Gameplay will be solid but not sure about the setting. Half expected while they were reminding the person what happened for the game to go back to an earlier time like with Assassins Creed2.

So, yeah... definitely picking up a sci-fi memory Animus type deal with those lab sections; I could get behind that, otherwise I'm not really too interested in more CoD. 

MW2 is pretty unbalanced but World at War was borderline broken; try going up against a machine gun with a bolt-action rifle that doesn't kill in one hit

Is it just me or did it look like it's prob ganna be taking place in Vietnam?

If it has some huge cinematic action pieces and cool gameplay I'll probably get it.

Call of Duty 3 was terrible. Call of Duty 5 was better, but still not great. Hopefully Treyarch can make this a good game, although I'm doubtful.

IS IT THE ANIMUS?

I'm thinking it follows multiple wars since its called Black OPs. It would be kind of neat if the beginning of the game your character is a young soldier in the Cold War then at the end your playing as him when he's an old grizzled vet in Vietnam.

For those who are getting an Assassin's Creed vibe: I'm pretty sure that the whole scene is more electro-torture than anything. The "help you remember" stuff I think is sarcasm, as in "Oh you don't want to tell us? Well maybe THIS will help!"

Oh yeah, the Cold War, the one without any fighting in it. 
 
By the looks of the thumbnail for the video the core concept of the game is punching yourself in the face. 
 
Otherwise I'd speculate 90% of the game is walking around the White House until Gorbachev gives you a call and says "Actually, I don't feel like doing this Cold War thing anymore."

Hopefully it's the mind of Demo Dick that you're trekking through in this game.

Call of Duty only works in the hands of Infinity Ward. Those guys are gone, so all we will get now is World at War quality.

I think it will be interesting, can't wait to get my hands on the single player.

trailer didn't do much for me.  Get it's a teaser but meh I hate quick cuts to exploding things and you can't tell what is happening!
 
I hope they take a step back from the Modern Warfare series of bigger/more is better!  All the crap in MP with missiles falling from the sky, helicopters, heartbeat sensors, etc. ruin it for me.  CoD2 still the best.  Hopefully Treyarch doesn't disappoint and steps up with a bit of originality with Infinity Ward guys going away.  I guess Zombie mode was original for the CoD series...

This all looks a bit bland, I dont think Call of Duty does it for me any more.

It showed enough to make it seem pretty cool.  WaW wasn't too bad, it's just IW knows how to do multiplayer really well.  

So there's an Animus that they are going to be using in order to go through our memories of past lives and ancestors in order to understand why war exists?

I'm interested, and I like Treyarch's new logo.  It's slick and snazzy.

Nice trailer.  Has me interested to hear more at E3.

So tired of call of duty. MW1 was incredible, MW2 was garbage.
