I don't know how this series will fare without the walking mountain of awesome that was Reverend Ray.

I'm really hoping that this takes a page or two from Dead Island in terms of its open-endedness and really pushes the franchise forward. Bound for Blood seemed to be heading in the right track, but The Cartel was a massive derailing.

I just want more Western games. That's all. I'm really hoping this will be good.

With that said, the wiki says this is for XBLA and PSN? It's a downloadable game? That kind of scares me, as it's not really what I'm wanting in a Call of Juarez game. Hopefully it works out well though.

I actually really kind of liked Bound in Blood. Hopefully this will follow in it's path rather than The Cartel..

American outlaws they showed in this game where not the bad guys in most cases that would be the banks rail road and rich land owners.

I actually really enjoyed Bound in Blood, though the Cartel looked like utter trash. Here's hoping this is good, as I enjoy a Western game.

Call of Juarez 1 = sucks

Call of Juarez 2 = OK

Call of Juarez 3 = sucks

Call of Juearez 4 = probably will suck

After how profoundly reprehensible their last game was, they've got quite a hurdle of their past to overcome. I hope they've learned from it.

Well, it's nice to see that you don't like western games. You're probably better off playing the next installment of CoD.

I really liked Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, but The Cartel was so shit so I'm mildly positive to this.

I just played a ton of Dead Island (ton of fun, by the way) and all I kept thinking while watching that was, "That is so very much running on Chrome Engine 5." I kept expecting zombies to pop up in frame or the twin pistols to turn into a machete, just because of how close the two games look graphically.

Normally, I would be fairly excited about this, because I really liked Bound in Blood. But, I hated The Cartel so much that I'm more worried than excited.

I wasn't expecting much from this being a downloadable title, but this actually looks pretty neat.

Also, Bound in Blood is a fantastic game, so I have no fucking clue what some of you guys are talking about.

Maybe the people who didn't like it made the horrible mistake of playing as whoever the other brother was. Cause man, he was terrible.

@missacre: You're right. Because I think this series is largely mediocre I hate the entire subgenre of western video games. Congratulations on being a great example of "dumbass gamer". Shouldn't you be on GameFaqs or something?

Bound in Blood was pretty freakin' great. The others not so much. This new one looks promising.

I saw the trailer on IGN, and I have to say it looks pretty cool. I haven't played a good Western since Red Dead Redemption and I'm looking forward to this one.

I also played Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, and I thought that was a pretty good game. It was fun playing as both Ray and Thomas.

It would be nice if this game was fun like Bound in Blood was.

Even though the original Call of Juarez had its issues, it turned out to be one of my favorite games of 2006 (!). If you just stick with it through some of its awkward shooting mechanics, the levels just get better and better (and the game itself becomes really expansive). I hope this one truly is a return to form, but after the last one, I'll be approaching it with extreme caution.

They should just make a 3D version of that Westerado game.
