This looks fairly interesting but I'm scared they reused the entire castle and swapped in some new enemies.

The DLC for the original game featured entirely new areas. But, having heard about the troubled development, it wouldn't surprise me if this DLC was somewhat undercooked.

OOOOOOOOHHHH Alucard, Dracula, now I get it!

Fun Fact: Dracula is Alucard spelled backwards.

Wait...what?! mind = blown

nah

@humanity: Well the whole main game is undercooked, so it's pretty likely.

i have a feeling with that news about troubled development this game had, if this dlc doesnt do well, we're gonna hear about layoffs at Mercury Steam.

Wait. WHAT!

Ten comments but I still see only the very first one?

(there seems to be some significant delay to seeing comments initially)

Does anyone remember that Dr. Mario clone that was set in the Castlevania universe?

I believe it was called Dr. Acula

I'm just not interested. The first LOS was a brilliant fantasy voyage. The second LOS was such a colossal mistake it became an utter slogfest. I'm still not sure how I managed to get through it.

What the fuck, Alex? Spoilers? Tag them please.

Thats Doctor D's masterpiece

Depending on how much Richard Madden there is in this DLC, I might or might not pick it up.

@rethla: I want Doctor D to give me a thorough check-up, if you know what I mean.

If they released a LoS collection of the first one, the 3DS one, and this one with all the DLC on PS4 for 60 bucks, I'd buy 'em.

@mrfluke: I think a lot of people are already leaving of their own accord. It's a shame because the first game was seriously underrated and clearly had a lot of really talented people working on it.

@matthewserious: If they actually did that then seriously hats off.

I continue to fail to understand why everyone hates LoS 2 so much. Aside from the incredibly underwhelming ending, I thought that it was fantastic. Super pumped to play as that sexy, shirtless Alucard with his heavenly voice and sweet sword :3

Although . . . this would have been an unlockable in any other Castlevania game. At least they seem to have rendered some new cutscenes for it.

I can't imagine a more boring and overused subtitle but I'm glad this exists. It'll likely be the last we see of Castlevania for a long, long time.

Considering the mixed reception to Lords of Shadow 2, Konami probably should have released this DLC to drive potential sales of the main game. Otherwise, people are just going to wait until they can catch it on sale for very cheap.

Give that guy your armor he doesn't even own a shirt for pete sake.

Man, Alucard in SOTN looked so sophisticated. Hell, most characters looked dapper as fuck. I guess Zobek qualifies.

Actually Dracula is Alucard spelled backwards

Man looks so good, sad Konami has ended this series. I wonder if sometime in the future will they reboot it? I hope they were at least somewhat profitable with this series, I would hate to see that it is being discontinued do to lack of consumer interest.

The King in the North voicing Alucard!

Waiting for a PS4/XB1 version. C'maaaan Konami.

Feel the same way. I thought it was perfectly fun, oh god... the futuristic modern city looked bleak depressing and uninteresting.... What did you think it would look like? There are only so many ways you can make a sewer look. Other than the stealth sections the game was fine, at least as good as the original minus the annoying qte's which seemed worse in the first game.

So it's basically "Put Weapons Here For Dracula To Use Later" DLC? That's what it looks like to me anyway...

Double swords though? That piques my interest, assuming it's not just a cinematic where you happen to have two weapons of course.

Lol, the stealth sections were NOT fine. They were awful. The more challenging ones I'm still not sure if I passed them legitimately or if the game just glitched out. Terribly designed and they felt so out of place.

I did say "other than" not that the stealth sections were good, they weren't. That said the stealth parts were not even half as hard as some people claimed they were in reviews. If it took you more than 30 minutes to pass any of them you were simply doing it wrong. I even got past the so called game breakingly bad one in 5 tries with no strategy guide or looking it up online. You just have to pay attention, try experimenting a little, and remember to use ALL your abilities.
