Here, here. Things were rough for a while there, understandably, but these past couple of months have been nonstop awesomeness. I even finally got around to subbing my account!

I begged my dad to buy me a CD-i for Christmas. He did not play videogames, but still KNEW that it was a piece of shit and therefor a waste of his money. The console was CLEARLY not selling because it was deeply discounted at the time. I begged. He relented. I will never forget his sense of satisfaction when I realized that Hotel Mario wasn't fun and the controller was terrible. The other "game" he bought me was some sort of interactive Smithsonian encyclopedia. Pretty sure he was fucking with me at that point.

Burn: Cycle still holds a special place in my heart as the only game on this turd I could even stand to play. I never got anywhere and died like all the time, but it was pretty much all I had.

Yeah best version of Dark Castle was on the Mac. It had the best animation of the versions that came out too. There's supposed to be a freeware version for the PC, but I didn't go digging far enough to install it.

All of the Washington DC sports teams interrupt the national anthem by shouting "OH!" at the "Oh say does that star spangled banner yet wave..." line because for a long time the closest baseball team was the Baltimore Orioles. Yes, they still do it even at Nationals games and even Capitals games for some reason.

Yup, Inca is up there as one of my all time favorite games pretty much entirely because of that song. The actual gameplay is kinda shitty even for the time. But the setting and music is amazing, so I've had it installed on all my PC's for the past 20 or so years, and pretty much only ever play through the intro and the first couple of sections. I kinda want a reboot of that series. Space spaniards and Incas on the oculus rift!
