This game was more interesting to me before I saw this trailer. Empty cities and a mediocre sense of speed.

Woah they crashed through Peter Moore at the end. I wonder if the cops will have the same abilities as Hot Pursuit. Does anyone know if they have freeburn challenges like Burnout Paradise, that was what I spent the most time out of the 120 hours playing that game.

@Microshock: Youtube's available for every video. I use the youtube player because it's quite frankly better. Also they didn't used to upload to youtube in HD until the subscribers said it was okay. So you're welcome.

This game looks absolutely incredible. Great graphics and sense of speed, great mix of Burnout and NFS mechanics. I hope it turns out well.

Not impressed I guess racing games don't hold my interest anymore.

Looking pretty sweet. I hope all the DLC makes it on the PC version this time. Burnout Paradise and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit didn't get everything on the PC.

I just want to see cars mush. The takedowns lack 'oomph,' sadly.

The drifting looks just arcadey enough when you don't just detach off the ground when you handbreak but you also don't just spin out either.

I don't know if I love the inclusion of cops into the game. I know it's Need for Speed and not Burnout but I enjoyed the freedom in Paradise. Running away from cops in open world game is usually a hassle, just preventing you from starting the next mission or event you want to participate in. Part of the fun in Paradise was finishing one event and immediately starting another nearby the finish line. If I have to lose the cops after every event, that could really break the flow.

EASILY! one of my most anticipated games of this year. I never though I would say that about a racing game again but this looks fucking immense!

1. Does Peter Moore still work at EA? If so, I assume that's an inside joke?

2. This game looks good, and I like the graphical effects for when you perform a "takedown".

3. The driving still looks really chunky. Maybe the guys who played Burnout want that, but I don't. I liked the slicker, more arcade-y driving of past Need For Speed titles.

4. The only question that matters to me, is what kind of customization will I get with my vehicles? I didn't like Hot Pursuit for this very reason, (beside the chunky driving).

I really want to buy this for PC, but you know, Origin

I really hope the framerate is decent on the PS3 version. Otherwise, I may as well just build that PC i've been contemplating. Fuck shitty console versions. So sick of scaled down crap.

i think that at the very least the cars should be fairly customizable. you can see when he starts the demo that it shows an all stock build of the Aston Martin. I assume it wouldn't show that if you couldn't upgrade it.

I know it's been said already, but HD video quality has been available for free since CBS bought GiantBomb back in March.

Haha I was just about to comment on his photo being in the game trailer.

Looks pretty sharp, I hope Criterion can keep the feel of the Burnout handling and this should be a pretty awesome game.

Since it's Criterion I hope the game handles more like Hot Pursuit 2010 (especially the drifting) and much less like NFS: The Run.

No damage models since the cars are licensed? Makes since is simulators, not here.

May be the first Need for Speed game I own... Because I liked Burnout.

This very much looks like a video game that I would like to play.

@Banshee: Because wet roads look nice when racing. Loved the raining races in NFS Hot Pursuit.

I couldn't help but notice there's no cut away to showcase the takedown as there is in Burnout. That's kind of a drag to me. Looks pretty rad otherwise.
